Picture Help???

I've been fucking trying to put a pic of a baseball card on ebay so I can sell and the damn thing and it says that it needs to be 4MB ( Your picture file's size in bytes exceeds the maximum size for Picture Services.) how the hell do i reduce the size...... I scanned the item?........In my photosmart essentials I can only figure out that you can crop and that looks like shit....
