Fresno Police are trying to get a Fresno State student who is off campus to turn himself in. He's suspected of shooting three people, killing one of them.
As of 9 am Tuesday morning, police were still on the scene and Barstow is still shut down between Cedar and Tenth. SWAT Team members at the scene have been there since 11 pm Monday night at the University Village Apartments.
They are looking for 19 year old John Quail Brooks. He is suspected of shooting three people and killing one of them.
Police say this all started after a confrontation between Brooks and four other people. They say that's when Brooks pulled out a handgun and shot three people.
At this point, they have brought in the SWAT team and negotiators to try to communicate with Brooks. Action News does not have confirmation that the situation has been resolved, but the scene is still very much active.
