  • This is a pretty neat math trick

    1. GRAB A CALCULATOR---NOT AN ADDING MACHINE. (You wont be able to do this in your head.).

    2. KEY IN THE FIRST THREE DIGITS OF YOUR PHONE NUMBER (NOT THE AREA CODE)

    3. MULTIPLY BY 80

    4. ADD 1

    5. MULTIPLY BY 250

    6. ADD THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF YOUR PHONE NUMBER

    7. ADD THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF YOUR PHONE NUMBER AGAIN.

    8. SUBTRACT 250

    9. DIVIDE NUMBER BY 2

    DO YOU RECOGNIZE THE ANSWER?

I broke down the equation and here is what I got.
let xyz = first 3 digits
let abcd = last 4 digits
            1. ((((xyz(80)+1)250+abcd)+abcd-250)/2
            2. (250(80xyz)+250+abcd)+abcd-250)/2
            3. ((20000(xyz)+250+abcd)+abcd)/2
            4. (20000(xyz) + 2abcd) / 2
            5. 10000(xyz)+abcd

In conclusion, I have too much time on my hands and decided to figure out JC's lil math trick only to realize its just an expanded form of 10000(xyz)+abcd..which is basically your phone number.

Bring me the numbers and tell me what you want to do with it. I'm pretty good in math. I was always the top of the class when it came to math but science...

error..step 3 should not have +250..it should have been gone from step 2 which had -250. sry. Writing it on piece of paper is so much easier then typing it out.
