  • Is This Coincidence?

Something very strange(and profitable) happened to me in the last week.
    Ok-first of all the backdrop:
My mom passed away recently at the age of 87.
From time to time I buy instant lottery tickets(about $10 worth at a time).
Last Saturday I decided to buy 5 $2 Dublin Dollar instant tickets;previously, I had won overall I am going to say around $50 after deducting what i had paid for the tickets.
Ok-I went into my convenience store and asked for 5 more of the Dublin Dollar Tickets.
the clerk said they were out of them.
Not knowing too much of the other games,I told him to pick any $2 game and give me 5 of them.
He chose the Happy Mother's Day Ticket and I bought 5 of them.
On the first three cards, there were no winners, but on the fourth card, I matched the numbers and won $100.
On the fifth ticket I won $10.
    Ok-anyone can get lucky.
Several days later, If decided to try my luck again with the same ticket.
I went back to the store and tried to buy the ticket.
The clerk informed me that they were out of the Mother Day's
Ticket and still did not have any Dublin Dollar Tickets.
There is another Seven Eleven convenience store across the street, and I decided to try that one instead.
They did have the Mother's Day Ticket, and I bought 5.
This time there were no winners on the first two tickets, but on ticket #3, I matched the key number 10 times at $40 each for a total of 400!
If that wasn't enough, today I went back to Seven Eleven to try my luck one more time.
To make a logn story short, I had a $2 and a $4 winner out of the 5 cards, and went back to cash them and ended up with nothing.
I was ready to go home and accept the $10 loss, but then I remembered my wife needed some prepaid phone cards which are NOT sold in the other two convenience stores.
On the way over there, I decided to give this new store a shot with the Mother's Day tickets since I had not used them before.
I then bought the phone cards and 5 more of the Mother's Days Cards and guess what-you got it-one of the cards was another $100 winner.
I went home, and of course my wife was quite happy again.
Then I thought maybe there might be a few more winners at the new store;this game is new, and sometimes the Lottery Commision puts in a lot of winners at the outset to entice people to buy them.
Thus, I went back to the store and this time unlike the others, I let my wife open them;wouldn't you know it-0 for 5 and not even close!
What I find interesting is that 1) initially when I asked the first clerk to pick any game, he chose the Mother's Day Game out of all the possible games(remember my mother just died, although obviously Mothers Day will be here soon and the pick could be seen as obvious), 2) I won $600 on thse tickets minus the small amount that I invested(I NEVER won much on these tickets before, and then all of a sudden three big winners in a week-VERY interesting and strane to say the least),3) The luck ran out as soon as my wife opened the tickets.
I know we are not talking megabucks here, but I must say that at the very least, the thought crossed my mind that mom had a say in this entire matter.
What do you folks think about all of this, and have YOU ever had an eerie experience like this?
ps I forgot to add that I found it very strange that on the second trip, the store where I had bought the first winning ticket did not have any more tickets but that the Seven Eleven did, and that I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to win the $400.

Seems I alluded to the Maxi Pad Streak- but who knows---anyway I feel like I am crossing over--- John Edwards - kind of thing.

Spearit-Happy Easter to you too and congrats on your great picks.
I was being facetious about my wife;she is trulye great lady-no guy could ask for me.
Re:the lottery tickets, now I will say it-considering that I have never had any kind of luck in buying instant tickets-certainly not winning $600 in a week with 3 relatively big hits-I have to at least consider the possibility that there might have been divine intervention especially when you consider all of the circumstances my buying the tickets to this particular game(Mother's day)in the first place.
Some may think I am going off the deep end, but maybe just maybe considering that this "luck" started right after she died, maybe mom is trying to tell me she is fine in the Hereafter and giving me a small present(believe me that is tiny in respect to the amount I am inheriting lol) and to tell me she is fine. I know that might seem wishful thinking, but in view of my strong spiritual beliefs, that is what I believe.
