At only 20 years old I'm assuming you are still single without any kids so you have time on your side to pay back your friends and family and chip away at the credit card debt. You know, Dimer and i were talking a few weeks ago about how Gamblers have a distinctive personality. The difference between drug/alcholol users vs gamblers is that you can atleast tell that something is wrong with a person mentally or physically by doing drugs. Gambling on the other hand, you can't tell if something is wrong with them because they look normal and dont LOOK like they need help.. Gambling i think is by far worse than drug/alcohol.

I'm so saddened with your situation. On a much lesser extent I know how you feel. In my early 30s I had two young children. I was betting a few hundred dollars each day. I was ignoring my children. Obsessed with scores. It wasn't instant scoring update like we have it today. With all the ups and downs from day to day it was grinding on my nerves. I couldn't sleep at night not knowing the results of my bets with the late games.

Long story short. I quit cold turkey. I didn't bet at all. I wouldn't even buy super bowl boxes. NOTHING. I resumed gambling in 2003. My kids older. My income far greater than it was in the early 90s. Now if I lose I'm not sweating it. I rarely watch the games I bet. With NBA most nights I go to bed not knowing the results until morning.

well...moderation is not bad.... but when we are talking about Degenerates the it is worse than drugs and alcohol... A degenerate will blow 300 hundred a night while an alcholic will probably blow 20-80 a night.... In the long run..... The degenerate will have more stress and more heart problems than the alcohol user... All they have is liver and kidney problems.... Ask KB
