a 4 or a 5 pt lead with 737 is almost identical in the coaches mind

IMO I wouldnt have gone for 2 unless there was 2 minutes or less left

If SMU misses that 2 and and only has a 4 pt lead then they wouldve fell behind by 3 and not 4 if the other team scored a TD

going for 2 is rather dumb unless its absolutely mandatory but these coaches nowadays arent too bright when it comes to managing a game

MY guess would be to keep UAB from going up seven and then SMU kicking a FG and then sending it into overtime, thus making the over possibly come in when it wouldn't have ?????????
