  • Vegas Hotels Which Are Better?

I'm sure most of you have been to Vegas

Someones been bugging me about finding out which hotels are the best they don't gamble much, are old and mainly want to be close to the Strip etc.

    The hotels are
    Tropica
    Circus Circus
    Stratosphere Tower
    Hooters Casino
    Sahara Hotel
    The New Frontier
    Mgm Grand Hotel
    South Coast
    Gold Coast
    Golden Nugget

If you have been to any of these or others near the strip and can give me any feedback let me know unless its lil problems during busy seasons.
I'm tired of reading the reviews pain in the neck ppl complain too much especially about not having coffee machines in the room, so stupid

    Thanks
How many more titles will the Yankees try to buy it never ends.

If money is no object, MGM Grand is their best best. The Golden Nugget is nice, bit is downtown and not too close to the strip. The Southcoast is a new casino and is extremely nice, but also far from the strip. It is on Las Vegas Blvd about 5 miles south of the strip. The rest of the places on the list are all dumps. But i cannot speak for Hooters casino as i have not been there yet.

New York New York is a nice place to stay. On the end of the strip right across from MGM and Excalibur.

Well now if they are old, that probably means they do not want to walk as much... MGM Grand and New York New York are at one end of the strip...

If you want to stay at one end and money is no object, the Venetian was absolutely gorgeous!!!! That is right near a bunch of hotels but again is at one end of the strip. If you want to stay somewhere in the middle I suggest the Bellagio or Ceasars. Ceasars also has the strip of shops right there where one can easily spend hours just trying to find your way out.

From your list MGM would be the nicest to stay at. The others on the lost are loder casino/hotels that are cheaper but you don't get the type of rooms you do at other hotels. It all depends what you are looking for

I agree with mr. HP if they want to be closer to the action the venetion or monte carlo. the flamingo is really cheap and right in the middle of the strip. do not even consider the first4 on your list.if you must choose from your list go with the mgm.

looking for something cheap or reasonable hotel doesn't have to be the greatest but at lest 2 stars and close to everything because walking far is a problem. Thanks for all your help.

Also if anyone wants to go last minute I just found out you can go for really cheap just good to know.

Stayed at the Flamingo this summer. Pool was awesome, rooms were clean, but nothing fancy which was fine for me. Center strip and hotel is not expensive unless you go on a weekend, then all hotels on strip are expensive. Drinks are cheap at Barbury Coast and Osheas which are right next to the Flamingo. If they go and enjoy the pool, Flamingo is nice for the price. Would rather have extra money for gambling and drinking than spend it on an expensive hotel. Have stayed at Tropicana, Imperial Palace, Stardust, and Luxor as well. All were ok with Luxor being the best, but on south side of strip. Can't wait to go back!
