where to stay in vegas

hey guys where is the best hotel to stay in vegas.I have been looking at the Las Vegas Hilton,wife wants to see CopaCabana dude.Also looked at the Mirage and the Belagio.Any suggestiond?

my suggestion would be to leave the wife at home! Hard Rock if you want fun, away from the craziness of the strip, outlandish pool scene (may not be a good idea with the wife) and better looking women at every turn. I have only stayed at a couple of hotels on the strip (I always stay at HRH) but I liked the Monte Carlo...inexpensive, clean, decent size rooms and centrally located.

Mirage is my favorite by far....we stay there every trip, which is 2-3 times a year. It's mainly b/c they have my favorite poker room. Also, they have great poker room rates that are unpublished anywhere. Just call and ask about them if you play alot, as there is a min tha tyou have to play to qualify.

If you stay at New York, New York or MGM, they are very close in proximity to eachother. Lot's of fun and many things to do at each. It's a very busy area because they are also close to Tropicana, Mandalay Bay and Excaliber. Very nice steak house at Palace Station. The Rio is out of the way but can be a lot of fun as well. Free dance shows above your head every 1/2 hour at night.
