Strip club donates $2,500 to Las Vegas schools
LAS VEGAS (AP) _ What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. And so does the money from a rather unusual fund-raiser there.
The local school district got a 25-hundred-dollar donation from a strip club. Scores Las Vegas says it took in the cash at a back-to-school event it held called "Detention." Strippers were dressed as teachers, schoolgirls and librarians.
The money was given to a non-profit foundation that helps support the Vegas schools. The foundation's director says they're glad to have the money, and happily take donations from any licensed, legitimate business.
The cash will be used to provide computers and other supplies to teachers.
