What kind of outcry do you need?

You said the NY Times wouldn't repoprt it and neither would CNN, when in fact, just about every major newspaper and media oulet reported on it and they ALL reported follow up stories the next day as well. Would like to see those links too?

A story like this is small compared to all that is going on in the country and world. If every nut case who goes on a hate crime spree and takes some hostages, gets coverage 24/7, you'd have one hell of a lot more of it going on, knowing they'd get huge amounts of publicity. They'd pull stunts like this all the time. It got covered, it just doesn't deserve 24/7 coverage.

And sorry but, a Jew, an Arab, a Mexican, a black, a white would all get about the same type of coverage if they did the same crime.

Comparing the KKK going after blacks is like comparing what Hitler did to the Jews. One party hating another because of race. It shouldn't used in this context. The Jews and the Arabs are at war basically, and of course there's going to be heightened tensions between the two.

I think it's ludicrous for you to believe with ALL the diversity in a newsroom, and I've been in plenty of them, that they would ALL somehow purposely ignore the fact that he was an Arab going after Jews. And that if it was a Jew going after an Arab, that they would ALL report on it differently or with more veroscity.....Sorry Bry, I think you need to get real. Don't believe all the anti media hype you hear from the conservative spin doctors.

I agree, there may be a lot of hatred towards the Jews and that's NOT right, but don't blame the 'liberal media' for it. I read a lot of papers, and if anything the prejudice is towards the Jews and not against them.

There are far more Jewish journalists in this country than Arab journalists. There is a lot of prejudice in this country, PERIOD. Against Jews, against Arabs, against blacks and so on......This story was reported and more than just a blurb. Bry claimed was it was not.....That's factually wrong. Just clicking on my links proved every major paper and TV outlet reported it and not only on their web pages but in their papers as well.

In my opinion, It didn't deserve to have the networks break into regular programming to cover it. This shit happens damn near everyday.

I agree with much of what you posted. You have to admit, like Bry stated, if a white dude shot 6 blacks or a black dude shot 6 whites it would be pasted all over the news for days. We'd see news report after news report with Reverend Al Sharpton, Reverend Jesse Jackson and others.

What more evidence of the media being ethical can you ask for, than to have them immediately pull that photo and run the original, untouched? And then immediately fire the guy who manipulated it? That to me proves the media will NOT tolerate unethical pratices by ANY of its members. This kind of crap has no place in the media, but with all the photo manipulation software available, it's hard to police. But believe me, when they catch anyone doing this shit, he's a marked man for life in the media.....
