  • Las Vegas...need some suggestions

Sorry about the short notice, but it couldn't be helped.

My nephew and his wife (both in their 40s), are going to be in Las Vegas this weekend, staying at the Flamingo. They both like to gamble, he plays Black Jack and her the slots. They will put the time in, but not with a high dollar amount.

I'm looking for any type of suggestions that I can give them, to further enjoy their stay. Places to go, nice restaurants, things to see, etc.

    Thanks for any help.

Binion's or the Golden Nugget downtown is pretty cheap gambling. I was just there about a month and a half ago and that's where I did a lot of my gambling. O'sheas was a pretty cool little place, pretty cheap. It's across from Ceasar's. Gallagher's is an awesome steakhouse in the New York New York hotel. Pretty high dollar though. Hope this helps

I stayed at Treasure Island. We loved the World Buffet at Rio's.
      - Clubbed at Rain (Palms), Studio 54 (MGM).
      - Did shows Circus Del Sol at Treasure Island
      - The V show and Gondola rides at Venectians.
      - Shopped at the Fashion Show ****.
      - Stratosphere
      - Strip clubbed at Sherry's Cabernet (fully nude)

We had a fun time. Spend too much money though.

Freemont Street is a good spot for cheaper gambling....I did much better at Binion's and the Golden Nugget than any place else the last time I was there. My favorite spot is the Luxor/Mandalay Bay....they are both connected with good shops/bars/restaurants and of course the Mandalay sportsbook is one of the best. You also have the House of Blues inside MB, and there are usually good bands there.
