The Pitching matchups for the 3 game series "Should" go like this ...

Andrew Miller (UNC) 13-2 vs Dallas Buck (OSU) 11-3 ...
Buck (OSU) was really hit hard in a 11-1 Loss to Miami earlier in the Tourney. He was slated to pitch Thursday in the OSU/Rice game but said he wasn't ready after 4 days rest from his last start. His record looks good but he can be inconsistent and i'm not sure about his "Fear or heart" while pitching here.
Andrew Miller from UNC was a Top 10 1st round pick for the Tigers in this years draft. The guy is MONEY and the biggest reason they are here. There is a BIG advantage here for UNC on the mound with Miller pitching. The Bullpen for UNC is also much more rested! UNC 7-4

Robert Woodard (UNC) 7-1 vs Daniel Turpen (OSU) 3-0 ...
Turpen is another one who hasn't seen a ton of action. He looked good in winning a game here but i'm not sure if he can do it again. You could also see him and Buck switch places in their starts for OSU with Turpen pitching GM. 1
Woodard pitched a complete game 3 hit shutout against Clemson on Sunday. He may be as good if not better than the Two staff aces and 1st round picks (Miller & Bard). He showed no fear of being on the mound and should pitch a SOLID game. UNC 5-2

Daniel Bard (UNC) 9-3 vs Jonah Nickerson (OSU) 13-4 ...
Nickerson is the reason OSU is here ... PERIOD! He is a GREAT Pitcher but the problem is how much they have used him. He pitched a GREAT game to beat Rice on Thursday and get them here. He did it on an amazing 2 days rest. When he pitches on Monday (If Nec.), he will be doing it againg on short rest (3 days). I have a hard time believing he can go back to back on 2 & 3 days rest in this pressure packed tourney without an issue. He stated after last nights game that his legs are VERY tired.
Bard is the other 1ST round pick out of UNC. He is (1-0) in the tourney and pitched in the clinching game over Fullerton to get them here. He has been inconsistent at times but he is a 1st round pick for a reason. If he keeps the ball down and his mechanics slowed down, he can be unhittable! If it reaches GM. 3 than i'm calling it a "Toss Up" while watching Nickersons durability!
BULLPENS: These teams both have a GREAT Pen!
OSU has a Closer in Gunderson with the most (tied) saves in the Country (19) and when he comes in, OSU considers the game OVER!
UNC has a Closer in Carignan who is also a stopper and has (14) saves. The key for Carolina though is they have the Country's Premier Setup man too in Hovis. He is 2nd in the Country with a 1.28 ERA. UNC also feels if they get to Hovis & Carignan, the game is OVER!
OFFENSE: UNC is 23rd in the Nation in Runs scored per game and 15th in BA. OSU is not in the top 35 in either.
The 2 Stud hitters both play for UNC. Josh Horton hitting .404 (16th in the Nation) & Jay Cox .388 (50th in the Nation). OSU does not have a Hitter in the Top 50. UNC also has power with an average of 1.22 HR's per game (12 in the Nation). OSU is again NOT in the top 35.
Defense: OSU is 13th Nationally in Fielding % and UNC is NOT in the Top 35.
