    Six-Pack for Wednesday
-- Mark Mulder's last five starts: 21.1 IP, 35 runs allowed.
-- Florida Marlins are four games behind the Wild Card, in the loss column. Who would have thought that?
-- Red Sox picked up pitcher Kyle Snyder off waivers from the Royals this week; talk about waking up and thinking you went to heaven. He goes from a dreadful pitcher on a horrible team to someone who only needs six medicore IP each start to get a win.
-- In 1980, there was a complete game every 2.5 starts; so far this season, there is a complete game every 12.9 starts.
-- Tim Herron played alone Sunday at the US Open, and got his 18 holes in quickly, 2:43. He shot a 77.
-- For first time since 1992, the SEC will have no new head football coaches. Eight of the 12 have been in their current jobs for less than five years. Amazingly, Philip Fulmer might be in hot water if Tennessee doesn't bounce back big in '06.

Wednesday's List of 13: Shaq shows who ismore valuable
      13) I am totally shocked that Miami won four in row after the way they played in first eleven quarters of NBA Finals

      12) I never saw Heat owner Mickey Arison before- he looks like a bartender. Tuesday night, a happy bartender.

      11) Guess the whole Michael/Kobe issue is settled forever, as Shaq wins his fourth title, the first with a new sidekick.

      10) You feel good for Gary Payton, who has 16 years in NBA and finally got a championship ring. You can't buy one.

      9) Udonis Haslem had 17 points, 10 boards in Game 6; lesson here is that every winning team has lunch pail-type guy such as Haslem, who does lot of dirty work essential to winning.

      8) Dwyane Wade was 16-21 from the line. On the road.

      7) Both the NBA and NHL Finals show us that it is tough to recover from blowing a game in short series; Edmonton lost Game 1 after leading 3-0; Dallas blew a 13-point lead in fourth quarter in Game 3. Have to finish off the enemy when ya can.

      6) Take away Nowitzki (10-22) and Marquis Daniels (4-6) and Mavericks shot 31.3% from the floor in Game 6.

      5) I can't remember seeing a boxscore where four guys on the same team all had 10+ rebounds, but Miami did Tuesday, in a game that they outrebounded Dallas by just 56-50.

      4) This cements Pat Riley as a coaching icon, even though getting rid of Stan Van Gundy was still lousy. At the end of the day, the end justifies the means.

      3) Boy, its a long season. The NBA starts November 1 or so, which makes it almost eight months for the teams in Finals. I think I heard someone say on the NHL game Monday that it had been either 268 or 286 days since Edmonton Oilers had started their rookie training camp. Lot of energy goes into it.

      2) If I am Mark Cuban, I kick myself in the butt every day for going on Letterman when series was 2-0. Bitch about the refs all you want, but Dallas thought it was over, before it was.

      1) Bottom line for me is this: I love watching teams celebrate a championship, no matter what the sport. Every player is equal at that point, they all celebrate with the same joy, and maybe for the marginal guys, they're happier, because there isn't any guarantee they'll ever get another chance.

Not me. I can't stand all the bitching and whining this guy does and has always done. I loved it last night when he was bitching at the ref while the game was on and he was so consumed at talking to the ref he missed the pass thrown his way

Thanks Spark and pm! Have a great day guys!
