  • Saturdays "LUMBERJACK" Picks

What could have been a HUGE days with the Expos and 0(zero)AKLAND needing to come though turned into a sub basement 3-6 dragging a nice weekly total down to 22-18 so far:

FOR 2NITE THEN: Laying the major Lumberjack wood!

Going to practice what I preached in last nights email....go HOT vs COLD until the situation changes:

Jumped early Yanks GM#1Yanks-300 and Yanks -1.5@-150

    TONIGHT:

PHILLY -156 >>Love the pitching matchup

Hentgen has been shuffled between the bullpen and the starting rotation this season, but has taken over the role as No. 2 starter in place of struggling left-hander Omar Daal. The right-hander, who has lost four straight starts, made his last start June 9, allowing four runs and 10 hits over seven innings of a 4-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs. Hentgen hasn't fared well against the Phillies in his career, going 0-4 with 5.79 ERA.

Myers (6-6, 3.38 ERA). Opponents are hitting just .214 and have an on-base percentage of .303 against Myers, who has struck out 67 and walked 39 over 96 innings this season.

ROYALS +105 >>KC is on fire and Affeldt has great stuff...Stl just can't solve this team.

    ARZ -200 >>No explanation necessary. Webb a gem...then there's Detroit.

ANGELS -112 >>Anaheim has turned the corner back to moving runners into scoring position and Ishi has a problem giving up walks PLUS the Dodgers can't score. Ishi has had BIG problems vs the Angels:

The Dodgers haven't scored more than three runs in any of their last 10 losses.

Ishi has struggled against Anaheim during his career, going 0-2 with a 10.80 ERA in two starts.

Appier has alternated quality starts with poor ones in his last five games. He gave up one run in five innings to beat Los Angeles 6-3 on Sunday. The right-hander is 2-1 with a 3.51 ERA in four career starts against the Dodgers.

ATL/TB (U)9 Runs >> Reynolds boasts a perfect 3-0 mark with a 4.28 ERA in seven road starts this year. Zambrano has allowed just three runs and eight hits over 22 innings in posting a 2-0 mark in his last three outings. The right-hander outdueled Roger Clemens on Monday, yielding two runs and five hits over seven innings in a 4-2 victory over the New York Yankees. Zambrano has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last six starts. He has tossed 2 1-3 innings of scoreless relief in two career appearances against the Braves.

SEATT -220 >>They should sweep SD. Win number two tonight.

ONE PLAY AGAINST THE HOT vs NOT system tonight is:

    TWINS -200
TWINS/MIL (O)10 >> BURBA for Mil making his first start coming up from the Indianapolis Indians where his ERA there was FIVE and half RUNS.

Rogers is 2-1 with a 6.50 ERA over his last three starts. The veteran left-hander allowed three runs and seven hits over five innings of Sunday's 8-3 win over Milwaukee, continuing his domination of the Brewers in his career. In 33 career appearances against Milwaukee, including 14 starts, Rogers is 10-5 with a 3.78 ERA with two complete games, including a shutout, and one save.
I am NOT schizophrenic......and NEITHER am I! Just paranoid that fear may overcome my insanity!

Love the Arizona and Twins over. Can't help but think Burba will help out with the total in this game. He's coming up from the minors with an unimpressive record. GLTY.
