  • Question for Neil and/or the board.

    Good Morning fellas,

How many units do you recommend someone start out with to use the 3WM system? To handle ups and downs, etc. You may have mentioned it in some other post but I cannot find it.

    Thank you.

    Great job last night.

Frank is very smart in these matters.

You can use his advice as a foundation.

This is very difficult to answer but I’ll try my best not to dance around your question.

It’s hard for me to determine what you should be playing for because I do not know

        a) your temperament

        and more importantly

        b) how capitalized you are

Over the years I’ve read many discussions in BC as to why gamblers lose and some very valid points have been made by members. It is my firm belief that the #1 reason for losing … first and foremost … is that most gamblers are improperly capitalized … and this is the root cause of failure. Playing with scared money never wins … it effects judgment and money management. Gamblers in this state will accept small gains in a winning week but will chase losing weeks into unbelievable debt because they just do not want to pay . … so they wind up pressing and in most cases will pay double , triple , quadruple , … and on and on into catastrophic situations.

Ideally every one playing 3 Wise Men Baseball on a day to day basis should should have a well heeled bankroll. This will help us endure the rough patches that we run across .

This season we’ve been extremely resilient … one or two disappointing days in a row , and then we kick ass

We’ve had 3-4 double digit win streaks so far … so we tend to stick hard , and then move.

Nothing will happen for a week or so and then BAMMMM … we hit books with gut shots … then it seems we back off for a little while.

I post a complete record every day and I do this for a reason. Anyone can readily see our strengths and weaknesses in all departments so you can act accordingly.

Study the record carefully and it should tell you how to proceed. High liners and associated parlays are leading the way … The lesser Star Rated plays have been solid. After a dismal 0-7 start , the highest Star Rated Plays have bounced back , going 7-2 in their last 9.

You’re a good guy , Yuri , and you deserve fair and honest answers , but I can’t tell you how much to play … I mean I really can’t … there’s a running joke in The 3 Wise Men Camp that whenever I advise friends to back off , we go on a tremendous run … and it’s true. I used to be good at spotting trouble or happiness in advance … but I’ve lost the knack.

We really have to play all the games because we never really know what's going to be hot or not. Go with the hot hand for stronger until you see a shifting in momentum.

Just make the commitment , sure we’ll take some bad along the way … but history tells us that we have won, and there’s nothing out there to indicate that things will change.

Cherry Picking ( bouncing from one capper to another in search of a hot hand ) DOES NOT WORK . Choose one with a good LONG TERM track record and stick with him or her through T H I C K and T H I N .

I hope this helps although I really haven't answered your question.

You are the only one who can.

        Best Regards,

        -Neil

Hey Neil. I appreciate your answer and your honesty. Truly.
I think I know what I have to do. Keep up the great work.
I usually only bet 50 bucks per game. I may start with a bankroll of 2gs and see what happens.
I think I will join in on the ride upon your post-interleague return.

Have a great weekend Neil. And especially to all you great dads out there.

              Shalom,
              Yuri

everyone here is knowledgableable & helpful. i bet 1 -5 units. 5 units is 5% of my entire bankroll. therefore, when i'm winning, i bet more. losing , i bet less, based on the %. $2k bankroll means i'd bet $20-$100. good luck
