  • TP's Friday, 6/16

A couple baseball POD winners in a row. Golf props off to a decent, but not great start.

Baseball Play of the Day (33-33, +3.60*)

    Milwaukee Brewers +101 (Capuano/Sabathia)
Things working in the Brewers favor here:
    • They were off Thursday after a day game Wednesday. Their bullpen should be completely refreshed.
    • The Indians were winning in Yankee Stadium Thursday.
    • In that game, OF Jason Michaels left, and is questionable for this game. OF Casey Blake is already on the DL.
    • While WHIP and ERA are relatively similar - slight edge to Sabathia - the Brewers are better in Capuano's starts. They are 6-1 in his home starts, and have won 5 of 6 overall. The Indians are only 5-4 in Sabathia's starts, and 2-2 on the road. They have lost consecutive games he has started.
    • Sabathia hasn't been working deep in games. He's gone 6, 5, and 6 innings last three outings. Capuano hasn't gone less than 6 innings in well over a month. This, in my opinion, is the main reason the Brewers are so successful in his starts. Their late relief is very good, but the rest of the pen sucks.
    • These teams have virtually identical records, but the Indians are only 12-19 on the road this season. The Brewers are 21-15 at home.
    • In this lefty-lefty matchup, the Indians average 1.1 fewer rpg against LHSP, while the Brewers average 1.0 more rpg against LHSP.

Well, good luck guys. I really believe this game merits a play.

One more obvious thing, the Indians won't be able to use a DH.

I also bought 10 contracts on Tiger winning the US Open for $5 apiece (If he wins, you get $100 back on each contract). Ideally, he will make a little run, and I can sell some for $10+ and insure a profit, with an opportunity to make a big score.
