What should the suspension be(or should there be one)for someone who deliberately hits someone say in the face or head causing severe damage and /or ending the player's season or possibly his career?

it does not matter how pissed he gets....his skills have eroded and until he acknowledges that and learns how to "pitch...a la glavine and pedro"...then he will get the same results...Thank goodness the Yanks hit for him...If he were on the sox he would be like 2-11

Tony-I think it is a legitmate question about suspensions for beanings where someone could be seriously hurt.
ps perhaps I will start a new thread about this matter;at least it isn't about Bush or politics.
If players or managers don't heed the warnings of the umpire, I believe they deserve what they get;rules are rules like in any other facet of society.
