What could have been a terrible day today was somewhat salvaged by Germany's stoppage time goal to give me a push in that match. This was still my worst day of the Cup so far going 0-2-1 (-3.32 units) and giving me a record of 1-3-2 over the last 2 days, including 5 straight matches without a win. I'll hope for better results on Thursday....

Game 18: Ecuador vs. Costa Rica OVER 2 (-143) 3***
I like this play a lot as both these teams play an attacking style of offense and both teams have question marks defensively. Costa Rica's first match, a 4-2 loss to Germany, was the highest scoring of the tournament so far and Ecuador was able to score twice against a Poland side that nearly held Germany scoreless today. OVER 2 is a fairly safe play so I am willing to lay that much vig.
Game 19: Trinidad & Tobago +2 (-121) vs. England 1*
England did not impress me at all in their opener, scoring their only goal on an own goal off a free kick. They will be up against a gritty, determined side from Trinidad & Tobago in this one, and they will once again be without star striker Wayne Rooney. I like the idea of getting 2 goals and will put a small wager on the underdogs in this match.
Game 20: Sweden vs. Paraguay OVER 2 (-125) 2**
This has the makings of one of the best matches of the tournament thus far. Sweden and Paraguay both came to Germany with expectations of reaching the knockout phase alongside England, and each side needs a win in this game to feel comfortable about doing so. Sweden was held scoreless by Trinidad & Tobago in their first match, and they need to get some points in this one as England looms next. Paraguay lost to England on Saturday, and can't afford another loss here. Both teams will be desperate and we should see a lot of action, hopefully leading to enough goals to make the OVER a winner.
