Pretty much a pointless day on Tuesday as my plays went 1-1-1 (+0.02 units) but I guess that's better than losing. Tricky card today but I think I found some solid plays.
World Cup Record: 8-4-2 (+7.61 units)
6/14
Game 15: Spain vs. Ukraine DRAW (+235) 1*
I have never actually bet on a draw before but the more I looked at this game, the more I thought it represented a decent value. These two sides are very evenly matched, are very, very tough defensively, and both have circled this match as their biggest in group play. A 0-0 or 1-1 draw could very well be the outcome of this game and I am going to take the +235 on a small bet and hope for the best.
Game 16: Tunisia -0.5 (-116) vs. Saudi Arabia 2**
Tunisia is a decent side and if they want to have any chance of advancing to the knockout phase they need to get the win and 3 points against the Saudis, who may be the worst team in the field. In the 2002 Cup, Saudi Arabia went 0-3-0, losing by a combined score of 12-0, including an embarassing 8-0 loss to Germany. I'll predict Africa to finally get a victory in this one.
Game 17: Germany -1 (-113) vs. Poland 3***
The hosts should be back at full strength in this one with the return of star midfield Michael Ballack, who missed the match with Costa Rica. Germany's offense hardly missed Ballack that day, scoring 4 goals, a tournament high. Poland looked awful in their first match, a listless 2-0 loss to Ecuador, and I expect them to be overwhelmed by Germany in this one.
Good luck and enjoy the Cup!
