What a day on Sunday going 3-0 and making 5.40 units. I can only hope for another day like that during this Cup. Big day today as the United States makes their debut against a solid Czech Republic side. Now onto the picks....

Game 9: Australia PK (-128) vs. Japan 2**
This is an interesting games between the two teams that intend to challenge Croatia for 2nd place in Group F (behind Brazil) as they attempt to move on to the knockout phase. I am gonna go with the Socceroos here based on their wealth of talent from the English Premier League and their coach Guus Hiddink who worked his magic in leading Australia to the World Cup for the first time since the 1974 Cup, which was also in Germany. A loss in this game would certainly doom either side and a tie is not unlikely. PK bets in soccer are pushes if there is a tie.
Game 10: USA PK (+206) vs. Czech Republic 1*
This is a huge game for the USA against what appears to be a banged up Czech team. The Czechs FIFA ranking of #2 in the world is inflated and I think the USA has a very good chance of getting the win and 3 points in this game. However, I am taking this bet PK, as I think a tie is a likely result between two evenly matched teams.
Game 11: Italy (-160) vs. Ghana 3***
Despite the high rankings of both the Czechs and the USA, Italy is the favorite to win Group E. The Azzurri are loaded again with enough talent to win it all. This game is very important for them as they are in a very tough group with games remaining against the USA and the Czechs. They need to get 3 points against Ghana to be comfortable about moving forward and I think they will do it. I hate to lay this much juice, but I realize that it will be very difficult for Ghana to score against the tough Italian defense, and I expect an Italian win of 1-0 or 2-0.
