After reading the link below would you take steroids?

Can the mods please leave this poll in this forum for a few days? There's more exposure in All Sports than the poll forum.

Reading the FAQ makes HGH seem like a very appealing product. That site is selling a HGH product. However, I still wouldn't buy or use the product.

I'm been fairly vague, but you can probably tell from my commentary in other threads, that i've done tons of research and am very well informed about steroids. I was actually a very active member of a fitness board which has probably the largest steroid forum on the internet. I mainly read threads and didn't participate in that particular forum, but I certainly absorbed a ton of information.

That being said, I would not use HGH. I think that link leaves out a lot and is very one sided. I would most steroids before I would think about using HGH.

              Just my opinion.

Mule, I'd be interested in your insight. As I admitted I'm naive about steroids.

I purposedly posted a link that was 'pro' HGH.

Finally, a thread that I can respond intelligently too. Would I use that worthless crap they sell on that site, absolutely not! The reason why it's not real growth hormone, it is probably just "human growth hormone releasers". Notice how they fail to give the ingredients anywhere on that site. I've been a fitness/bodybuilder enthusiast my entire life. Believe me, I practice what I preach. That being said, I am organic(no steroids or anything illegal- not even to "try") and have been since day one. I have never touched or used steroids, or even recreational drugs besides caffeine or alcohol.

Human growth is not a steroid. Would I use real growth hormone, you bet your ass, under the right circumstances which I will explain throughout. The reason why is simple, it comes down to quality-of-life. I certainly don't think that one should be using anything without knowing their body extremely well. What I'm saying is, if you have no idea what you're waking tartrate and is, blood pressure is, cholesterol is, and hormone levels are, then you have no business playing with them. You also have no business plan with that stuff if you have not thoroughly, and I mean thoroughly done your research. Some of these things you have to get a blood or saliva test to find out. You don't know if you are winning unless you keep score. Too much or too little of anything can certainly be to harmful.

Back when I was in college to become a chiropractor, I was taught many things about nutrition, and the government supposedly looking out for you. What a huge crock shit. I say that because I am a very firm believer in megadoses of vitamins and herbs. About eight years ago, I hired a nutritionist for some events I was getting involved in. He completely changed my point of view on definitions of "drugs," hormones, herbs, and vitamins. I can tell a largely and significant difference in my sex life, my health, and my overall sense of well-being. But what one needs to be kept in mind, is that I have done my homework and I continue to do so. For some of you handicapping is a hobby, health and quality of life is mine.

I just turned the big 30 this year, and probably would not even consider taking growth hormone until I turned 50. The reason why is I believe there are much better alternatives, that are cheaper and work better for me for various reasons for me. But to answer the question, under the right circumstances I would certainly take it(HGH). I do firmly believe that when used properly the "benefit" far outweighs the "risk" for human growth hormone. I do not believe that about sex steroids unless you have AIDS or cancer. I will say that I have used "smart drugs" under the orphan drug law. The first thing I look for before I take anything, is how long it's been on the market and the side effects.

I am not going to sit here and argue with anybody, but the test of time tells you what the side effects are and tells you about the safety of anything you wish to take. I would not consider taking anything that has not been on the market for at least, at bare minimum, 10 years. Everything I have taken, has been on the market 25 years or more. More so than any doctor could ever tell you. I certainly would never disregard a doctor's advice, but it never hurts to get a second opinion. I quit using "smart drugs" because of the very strong aphrodisiac effect they had on me. They affect everyone differently, so my effects may not be your effects. When the time comes, I will certainly get them again. I have been a member of the Life Extension Foundation out of Florida for seven years, and I suggest anybody who wishes to improve themselves on a physical, quality-of-life level, join.

I certainly don't think there's anything wrong with taking anything that can improve the quality of your life. Your overall sense of well-being, your sex life, or anything similar. I have never not been out of shape. I don't think I will ever "need" growth hormone to give me what I consider to be a good quality-of-life. However, others do not lead the same lifestyle that I do. I certainly see nothing wrong with somebody who is 52 years old, and depressed because his hormones are out of whack, taking what is necessary to make himself better. To find out, again, one must do a blood or saliva test. From a lot of what I have read, his doctor will probably give him Prozac when he really needs testosterone or growth hormone. What's worse, is Prozac can harm your sex drive! Read the side effects, that is one of them. It is extremely important that you find a doctor who generally wants to help you, and not sell you some high, overpriced growth hormone or testosterone therapy service. I see many doctors do that these days, and it's a joke. Doctors who you may consider to be "alternative" or "cutting edge" are really nothing more than overpriced salespeople. Again, start with your research at the Life Extension Foundation. The same growth hormone and they sell for 1600 a month can easily be obtained for approximately 400 with the right research. Just stay away from anything made in China, because you can't be too sure what you get from that country. I strongly recommend doing your research for obtaining anything from England, which is about half the price of Canadian pharmacies. Presently I am not sure what the law is on importing, you are on your own on that one. In fact, the laws are extremely "gray" right now on importing pharmaceuticals whether you have a ************ or not.

That same 52-year-old I was speaking of the last paragraph, may not have the desire or physical drive to eat properly or exercise. Sometimes, a little boost is what someone needs to get them going. Perhaps his testing reveals that growth hormone could help him. After all the renewed energy from taking it he starts an exercise program and begins to eat right. He may find that any few years, he doesn't need to take as much or not at all. A perfect example of this is the beta-blocker "Inderal." Normally prescribed for high blood pressure, your doctor can also prescribe it to you under the orphan drug law for public speaking. Public speaking is the number one fear. It stops the adrenaline rush from inducing that public speaking fear, when taken 45 minutes to an hour before the event. After a certain number of events, in most cases, for what I have read, three to five, it is no longer necessary. A person would be able to speak comfortably in front of people, but first they needed "training wheels." All I'm really saying is do your research, and be responsible. In paragraph 2 of my last quote, tartrate is supposed to be heart rate. Sorry, I thought I read through it and edited it but I missed that one.
