I am a really big fan of soccer, and love to bet on it. I'll post my plays for the Cup every day. I'd love to get off to a good start on Day 1.....

Game 1: Germany vs. Costa Rica OVER 2.5 Goals (-128) 2**

Costa Rica plays a wide open attacking style of soccer that usually leads to high scoring results. I expect a 3-1, 4-1 type game here but since I didn't want to bet on the Germans without their star player, Michael Ballack, I decided to go with the OVER.




Game 2: Poland -0.5 (+108) vs. Ecuador 2**

I think Poland is a really solid play in this spot against an Ecuador side that struggled away from home during qualifying and lost to Poland 3-0 in a recent friendly match.

do you guys think poland is a decent play??? i know jack about soccer. i didnt get in on the over bet here. wish i did, but would like to put something on poland, only thing that scares me is a Draw

ST....I will be following your picks daily, I am all over Poland. I know absolutely NOOOOOTHING about soccer at this level, although I do coach youth soccer. Nice easy winner on the Over in Game 1. They wont all be like that.

Yuri, Bover, Big- If you look at the moneyline bet Pinny is offering you also see they offer Draw at +221, so if you bet the ML on Poland or Ecuador and it ends in a draw you lose. You could bet Poland PK and -0.5 (-120). If you do that your bet is split into 2 bets. If Poland wins, you win both. If Poland ties you get half your money back for the PK and lose the other half for the -0.5. If Poland loses, you lose both.

I hope that makes sense. It's kindof confusing. I'm just gonna go with Poland -0.5. I think they are the better team.
