i think where the yankess have benefitted it that now they are playing small ball and that is where they had all the success in the past.....I think when you rely on the big boppers there is alot of inconsistent nights........ I think this so called rough patch benefits them in the short term....whether melky and phillips stay hot is another thing....Melky is only 21....that is amazing for the yanks

Red Sux are better than the Yanks?? If memory serves me correctly we have beat them the last 2 games. Indians?? Barely even a .500 club.. Angels not even going there not worth my time.. Cards?? Maybe when Pujols was playing but they lost 2 of 3 to the Cubs of all teams.. Chi Sox?? I will give ya that one but they arent exactly world beaters this season either.. Nice try HATER

Torre deserves props for keeping this team afloat. Might be his best managerial job to date. Yes, the rookies have done a nice job filling in, but only for 15, 20 maybe 25 games. I will be very surprised if Melky, Phillips and the rest of the gang can keep this up through the dog days of summer PLUS the NY spotlight. That is a lot to ask of any rookie, much less 3 or 4 of them.

regardless of who anyone thinks is good or bad, yank hater or lover, Mgr Joe Torre has done a great job all season long juggling players, enabling the Yanks to be where thay are today............where they finish, I don't know.......

but for up to this time, My hats off to Torre.....Kudos....kapt

I have to shake my heads in amazement when i have gone to the Yankee forum and seen quite a few folks saying he is NOT and/or has NOT done a good job in the last few years.
I shudder to think of the Sox playing into at least Sept. without Ortiz and Manny Ramirez.
