Nice to get back on the winning track with my POD, as well as winning a nice dog play on the Phillies.
Baseball Play of the Day (27-29, +1.58*)
Toronto @ Baltimore Over 10.5 (-105)
I'm turning around and fading yesterday's play. It's amusing to me that this game with Taubenheim and Bedard pitching, would be the same total as yesterday, with both sides starting a better pitcher.
Taubenheim has been a disaster. His ERA is just under 9.00. He was shelled last time out, and he has a mediocre bullpen behind him. The bullpen should give up some runs since Taubenheim hasn't shown the ability to go deep in games. He is only averaging 3 2/3 innings per start.
Bedard started the season ptching well, but has struggled recently. His last two starts, he was rocked, going 0-2 with a 13.51 ERA. Toronto has hit him hard in beating him twice this season.
Then, as mentioned yesterday, Toronto hits LHP much better than RHP, and the reverse is true for the Orioles.
Small personal play: Red Sox +140
The two gambling axioms of this series:
One more thing:
The Twins opened as a bigger favorite tonight in Seattle than they did less than two weeks ago in Minnesota, with the same pitching matchup. This has to be unheard of.

- Take the road dog.
- Take the team that was blown out the day before.
