  • Miami Vs Dallas NBA Championship Trends

Well - I have to admit I have had a successful playoff season in the NBA so far. I haven't pushed plays or posted many for that fact, but the fact remains- let the plays come to you - don't push - if you do not have a great deal of confidence in it- shelve it until the next play. Again don't bet unless you see can envision some type of outcome. (This doesn't mean you won't have doubts- Just given these facts and trends- this should be the way this half plays out.) For first halfs- see other first half stats and the same for second halfs. Ease into the series before you are out of it in a hurry by feeling the game yourself and not following hype.

So Far- I have feasted as many of you have on the Under in the Detroit series. I also feasted on Detroit not being on the same level as Miami - who was healthy this year and has a new inspiring bench to rest the starters. I am aware that Miami plays more defense this year as does Dallas. I played mostly first half plays mostly on Phoenix with success and watched Dallas bring up a great defensive effort in the second half. Can Dallas be that easy to read. Miami in the first and Dallas in the second? Doesn't Miami show similar stats?

The point is to understand the nature of the beasts before you go chunking your hard earned money on perceptions of favoring a side or total or 1st and 2nd half bets. As in the playoffs for the NFL, I hope to bring forward as many trends and facts to help in your decision making. Any capper or informed soul who wishes to post in this tread- info that may help members gain a foothold on winning bets in this NBA Championship series- please post em as you get em.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
This info can be consider systems by some and trends by others. I will start with 1st half trends. I do not follow trends more than 3 years old and mostly like the season and the playoffs to look at from this year. Thats where this thread will need your help. Cheech generally has some great insight on a series and was our go to guy last year. Wayne, Shorty, MC Pimp and the rest of the family provide money making, profit taking insights to help each of us get some money in our accounts. This thread is not intended for converstion outside the realm of this series as it is intended to be a fact sheet and to not have to delve into sights everywhere to get the info. Lets get started.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
All trends that I post will be over 2* and will be as recent as possible.

--Play On - Underdogs vs. the 1st half line (MIAMI) - in non-conference games, extremely well rested team - playing 3 or less games in 10 days.
    (50-25 over the last 5 seasons.) (66.7%, +22.5 units. Rating = 2*)

From these trends- Dallas may appear to have an edge.
I like the trends of the coaches- as my best source.

To me the coaching of these teams is more indicative of the way the trends may be of value as this is more recent and shows the schemes of what the teams bring to the table today not last season or beyond
I will have much more later. Please add em if ya got em!

                Officials

will dictate this series....not in a classic "make it go 7 for ratings" way. The match ups are all even...deep benches...young studs (Wade/Dirk)....offensively minded pg's (Terry/JWill (especially is game 6 carries over))....the only thing I see is NOBODY CAN STOP A HEALTHY AND MOTIVATED SHAQ except officials. What happens to this guy is a crime....the rules in no way state..you can or can't do this or that in the post while playing defense...UNLESS he is too big. He is penalized for his size. Guys have both fore arms in his back and body him up to a flagrant foul degree...anyone else goes to the line all night. People accept this as "how else can you stop him?" YOU ARENT'T SUPPOSED TO STOP HIM. He is a force that we have never seen in the game. Play zone is the "legal" answer...that's what you have to do in high school when a stud center plays your team of twerps...
I like Miami in this...... as a dog for sure. Great value in +145 that I got while backing the games most dominant force.

Shaq also gets away with murder. It works both ways. IMO the NBA officiating is the worst of all the major sports.

Yep- officiating has been a pain to the enjoyment of the game - but press on we must. Both teams deserve to be here so we must also guage the quality in both halfs as well. One team is hot in the first half and then the other team cuts the deficit.

Now in the first half and actually the game- many will be on the under. I certainly am in favor of the under due the rest that both teams have and the energy that a first game takes on. Officials may be calling foul after foul which puts up points with no time off the clock. So it may well be a toss up. We remember that championships are won on defense so we gravitate naturally to that side. However, if you go back to previous playoff games prior to the last series- some interesting events emerge. The unders were not so prevalent and the teams were ready to score some points. But first lets look at the first half trends on totals. I apologize for this oversized list. Again look at the 2* AND ABOVE.

                    • #11

YES-HENDRIX FORMERLY KNOWN AS BLACKBEARD.-I AM TAKING MIAMI IN THE FIRST HALF AND THE UNDER FOR THE FIRST HALF OF THE GAME.

BY THE WAY--I REALLY AM JUST TRYING TO PLACE ONLY INFO IN THIS THREAD. I SEEM TO BE MUCKING IT UP SOMEWHAT AS I AM ON A LAPTOP AND SLOW TO EDIT FROM THIS SMALL SCREEN.
HEY-I WILL ADMIT I AM FROM FLA AND THE HEAT WOULD BE A JOY FOR ME TO SEE A CHAMPIONSHIP HERE. SHAQ HAS EXPERIENCE IN WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS BUT CAN HE HELP DOWN THE LINE WHEN HACK A SHAQ STARTS. NOWIT-SKI SHOWS A FIERY STRENGTH AND EASY RAINBOW SHOTS OVER SHAQ WILL BE THE NORM. LOOK FOR THE TWIN TOWERS TO SLOW HIM DOWN. TERRY AGAINST WADE IS AN INTERESTING MATCHUP WITH TERRY THE BETTER DEFENSIVE PLAYER- I BELIEVE.

WITH THE CULMINATION OF TEAM CHEMISTRY, BENCH AND COACHING- I HAVE TO GO WITH THE HEAT.
HOWEVER, THE HOME COURT ADVANTAGE IS MORE IN DALLAS FAVOR AND THEY HAVE QUITE A RESPECTABLE RECORD AT HOME.
MIAMI MUST BREAK EM QUICKLY AT HOME IF THEY ARE TO WIN OVERALL. NO EASY TASK BUT I BELIEVE THEY WILL AND BELIEVE SHAQ WILL HAVE HIS PLACE IN HISTORY OUTSIDE OF THE WEST COAST AND LITTLE KOBE IN THE SHADOWS.
THE GAMES WILL BE UNDER RELATED- BUT GENERALLY IN THE 90s. SO IT CAN GO OVER DUE TO ot AND OFFICIATING EASILY.
THAT IS WHY I LIKE THE UNDER IN THE FIRST HALF ON THESE GAMES- NO OT AND FOULS ARE GENERALLY TAKEN OUT OF BOUNDS MORE.
