To Our Friends in 3 Wise Men Camp

This is where we stand right now.


Over the years I have said many things in BC … some of them funny , some not … some intelligent … some not … some were nice … others were cruel .

I’ve made many wonderful friends here and some enemies as well.


Despite what some people think , I could care less about being liked by everyone … in fact , it’s very important for me to be disliked by certain people … those who are not supposed to like me … and don’t …. they just make me even prouder of who and what I am. So when someone tries to insult me, it’s really not an insult at all … it’s quite complimentary. For me it’s nice to be liked , but only by certain individuals. The bottom line is that I couldn’t give 2 good craps about some of the people here … we are what we are. If we were currency I’d most prefer to be a $100 bill … I don’t want everyone touching me … just some .


Most of you who know me well, know of my burning to win and not only that … the desire to earn for friends. You also know the value I place on my time and my work, both in and out of this site.



I’m not a great capper …but I make money at it and I’m nobody’s fool … and I like to share.


Just One Spoke in the BC Wheel . .. no more … no less.




This being said … For the last few weeks there has been a rash of attacks INSIDE the 3 Wise Men Baseball Thread … and with time they have become more frequent and more vicious.


This is not acceptable to Me or Frank or Karl


Say what you want , but at no time do I go into any play poster’s thread to heckle or belittle that person. That’s an absolute No – No .

I’ll never understand the mentality of an imbecile who bashes another for trying to make money for that very same imbecile.


Now there are RULES in this site … some make perfect sense … others quite to the contrary.


Be that as it may … I believe one of the rules is that no one is permitted to enter another’s play posting site with the purpose of spewing ill will and negativity.


My recent discussions with Monte have been focused on this very matter.


My questions are : “ Why is this being ALLOWED to happen in the 3 Wise Men Thread ? “ and more importantly … “ Why must the attacks continue to be allowed for such a prolonged amount of time ? “


No action is ever taken unless I copy the assaults and Email them to Monte.


If I didn’t alert him , nothing would be done.



This also is not acceptable .


I shouldn’t have to bother him with this nonsense.


I have a pretty good idea as to the answers to my questions.


Let me tell you a little story :

A few years back I was really into it with a former member here … we were going back and forth … “I’ll kick your ass CB” … “Oh Yeah ? … I’ll beat you senseless ( so and so ) ” … “ meet me at such and such a place and we’ll see “ … blah blah blah …. both of us … you should have seen this. I told him I’d go right hand crazy on his face until I painted red pictures all over it . It was nuts … guys … it really got crazy.


Anyway , it became quite apparent that I had gained the clear cut upper hand edge in this battle of wits … he knew he could never keep up with me … never will.


So as a last ditch effort , this person desperately resorted to saying vulgar and most vile things about my mother and father … things that some people get in a lot of trouble for saying to others , if you catch my drift … and he was allowed to continue this attack on my family for days.



Karl and Frank also remember this … vividly.



But what was most disturbing about the whole incident was that The Moderator at the time allowed this attack on my parents to drag on for days.


The right thing was done ONLY when I brought the matter to Monte and he immediately pulled the plug.



But now I see the same things happening in my threads … Any 2 Bit Third World “ Toot – Zoon “ Terrorist Thug is now being allowed to say whatever he pleases … and for as long as he wants.


I can only fight these people off for just so long … there should be intervention from the Mod . There has been none.


So I guess “ The Rules “ don’t apply in this case … to me directly , and indirectly to Karl and Frank.


Again , Monte assured me that the intruder will never be a problem again. I take this to mean he was banned.


But there will be others … just as long as they feel they have a free pass into our thread because someone’s not doing his job.



Why do I need to fight these guys off at all ?


Because 3 Wise Men Baseball is OUR DOMAIN … it’s our Turf … Our House … and WE ARE HOUSE PROUD … just like Chuck’s daily posts are his … or Spark’s his … or any of you great guys who work hard to help others .


Any prideful person puts a value on his work … it’s amazing how some people in here ( and elsewhere ) do not have the slightest inkling as to what this means. But I can say with pride that all my friends in here do understand.


Our daily threads are OUR SIGNATURE … they define who and what we are.


They’re the product of our time and our desire to help earn for members in this site.


Anyone with a beef with me should have been making his own thread and saying whatever is on his mind … and it’s his right to do so.


Just don’t do it in OUR HOUSE.


But it’s much easier to stroll right in nowadays … whoever wants to bash me is getting a free ride.



The 3 Wise Men Threads are not being policed and they’re not being respected … apparently the rules do not apply here … and our once beautiful neighborhood has now turned into a War Zone.


Let’s face it … Trespassing is something that we can’t prevent . And there really are people out there who hate Bettors Chat so much that they would like nothing more than to take it down … I’m seeing it first hand … it’s right in front of us.


This behavior should be discouraged … swiftly and painfully.


But it’s not .


And this is not acceptable.








I like Monte


He’s told me he likes me too.


I’ve asked him to promise me that from now on in our site he will be more attentive to matters of trespassing and terrorism … not only from Outsiders … but also from non productive negative intruders within BC … for All Of Us Daily Play Posters , and not just The 3 Wise Men.


He has been a fair guy … but at the same time so have I … I’m not asking for much


Do your job well , pay attention , enforce the rules.



He wants me to stay but all I’ve gotten so far is that one asshole was banned. It’s not enough. Soon the same coward will spawn and reappear under a different alias, and with “Get Out of Jail Free “ Cards up the Wazoo because someone is asleep at the wheel.



I’m not “taking my ball and going home ” … as one jerk put it so uneloquently the other day … ( although in this life it’s very important to own the ball … trust me )


I want to stay … I want to work … but I need some help. 3 Wise Men will be friends forever. But it would be a lot more fun if we stuck around in here with you.


I’m still waiting for Monte’s Promise. Since his word means a lot to me , I want to hear it from him.



All I’m asking is for things to tighten up … overall we have become too complacent.


I’ll expect his reply by tomorrow morning , 9 AM … by then we will have an agreement or we will not. If you follow our stuff faithfully it’s not right for you guys to have to wait so long for the decision.

Hugo... we do live in an open free country, and it's everyone's right to complain and express an opinion. I think what Neil's saying, is that he doesn't object to members speaking out, just that there's a right way and a wrong way to go about it.... if you go about it the proper way, your voice will be heard and respected, and if you do it the wrong way, if you're childish and insulting and disrespectful, you should be dealt with swiftly by the people in charge of the site....

Neil. I can see why you are upset, and hopefully a few people dont ruin it for everybody.

The bottom line is that the 3WM report produces winners, and therefore, wins people money. I cannot figure out why people would want to come into a thread that MAKES MONEY and bash the person who is producing MONEY MAKING PICKS. Isn't the point of the site/handicapping to make money??? But then again, some people just aren't that smart.

Hopefully everything works out, and you and the 3WM report stick around, because the regulars on here respect you, your insight, and your picks. (not to mention the smoking hot chicks you always have)

Speak for yourself. Most have a great deal of respect for Coverboy. It's unfortunate a very few create 90% of the chaos. One of the reasons I left this site for 3 or 4 months was I got tired of the BS. It got very old. The mods have a thankless job. Most of the guys that create trouble are young and/or unstable. They only come back as new members creating more BS. That's one good reason making this site a paid site would be a benefit.

Hugo, like Coverboy or not. Like any capper or not. Do you think that gives any member the right come into any cappers thread solely to start BS? Trust me posting a losing a bet hurts more than only losing a bet. Knowing we've let others down.

Stern made it clear he doesn't like Coverboy. Great! That certainly doesn't give Stern or anyone the right to post the losing portion of 3W selections and come into CBs thread only to start BS. I would understand if Coverboy fudged his record. He doesn't. Win or lose he updates the record daily.

This is the 3rd season Coverboy has post baseball selections. He's done extremely well. His faithful followers have done well.

It's simple. Some are BORN LOSERS. A capper can produce 60% winners and some sport bettors will still find a way to lose.

I've often said. Follow a capper or two. Play each and every selection they make. Don't cherry pick. Don't jump on and off the bandwagon. If you do, you will LOSE.

I truly appreciate the 3WM posts. Throughout the past couple of years, I have gleamed a great deal of insight and wisdom from Neil, as well as Frank and Kap whether they know it or not. I have learned from these guys. In sports handicapping you have to be a little soft to reject wisdom or worse try to drive it away. We need every advantage we can get. To be truly profitable (why else would one do this?) we need to maximize our collective knowledge.

Isn't that what this board is supposed to be about? To share knowledge with others involved in the same endeavor. This is what those in the 3WM camp are about. What do we say to those who distract us from our goals? Get the f%*@! out of the way. It's a waste of time. Life's too short to be dealing this nonsense.

I remember my Dad telling me, "shut up and mind your own business!" Is it so hard to stay out of a thread? Of course not. "Stuff happens" is silliness. Certain members are intent upon disruption, and it just distracts us from what should be our common goal.

Coverboy puts a great deal of energy and time into his plays, and he wears his heart on his sleeve. That's all. If you think differently, if you don't like his plays, his stories - whatever - why are you in the thread?

What's too bad Neil is that people are totally on the fence with you. Half on your side & half against. Trust me, it's true. The haters don't usually respond for obvious reasons and the backers have an easier time because it's just patting you on the back. Been there, done that.

I truly love Karl as a member and friend here. I've said many prayers for that man's family and he is stronger than you and i combined for what he and his family have gone through.

The whole thing with w iz blew up several times with several people (you included). He was banned several times and let back in by monte several times (not me) as well. You seem to forget at the time that i was the only Mod here for this whole board and i had no powers like we do now to erase or ban people, NONE! That was all Monte and all i could do is let him know (which i did). I must have spent 6 hours of my life typing emails to w iz about you and to leave you alone and so forth. I was ONE person and this board was insane on many nights back then. Just because my name is logged in, it doesn't mean i'm constantly refreshing the board or even here. I leave it logged in so "Intruders" think i am as much as possible.

The truth is that you and w iz were both being kids at the time and some nights it was just better to let you go instead of trying to lock threads all night. Once the personal attacks hit, he WAS banned and AGAIN ... Monte had to be here to stop him from posting, i COULDN'T!

You also in several thread have talked down about this site and it's ways openly. I think it is very disrespectful to Monte and i think it should be done through email if there is a problem. When someone has been banned 12 times and nobody says nothing on the last 10, why make a scene over the 13th? Seriously?

MANY, MAY people have come here and said they LOVE this place because we keep the trash out or at least as limited as possible. We don't let people BASH others openly but we do allow opinions at times if they are done without disrespecting someone personally. I also can be honest in saying i don't go to your threads often, therefore, i don't notice problems in them. I used to look all the time but your complaints about this board started to get to me so i stopped looking.

For someone who defended you a helluva lot more than you seem to remember "back in the day", it's too bad you feel how you do. It really shows me the appreciation you have for what frank even called a "Thankless Job".

I'm not perfect but i have given my fair share for this forum and it's members. If people think i don't care than you really are not following along and i'll give you many reasons that show i do. It's amazing that after all these years, months, that it seems to be mostly my fault by the above read.

There are reasons neil why i can't spend more time trying with you and they are all in the above. I would love to switch places with you someday and see how you and your personality would respond to the goings on here on a daily basis. I really would because quarterbacking from the sidelines is always easier!

No one should be able to come in and Hijack someone’s thread just because they don't like them. That should be done in the Non-gambling Forum or open an “I hate the 3WM” page on My Space because it’s stupid. It's definitely the same people coming in here over and over trying to chase away the best cappers. If CB leaves the site these idiots get their way and will be laughing at us from their local library because they can’t afford a computer or internet access.

Neil-Karl and Frank. You are highly respected for the winning seasons you produce and the comeraderie that you display. I have seen much to be annoyed at times with on this site as well as other sites-- but the reality is some fine cappers put their time and reps on decisions that viewers can bet on without doing the work themselves. Keep up the fine work.
Heck-We should all utilize our time on site with a positive attitude toward others - even though we may all have a potential problem with betting or gambling.
