What a shitty Memorial Day I had. Play two baseball games for the first time all year, don't come close with either, and attend a Braves game where they play like a minor league team. Awesome. I did bet a little on the Heat, just because everyone was saying there was "no way the Pistons would go down 3-1," which meant they were almost certainly going to.
Baseball Play of the Day (26-27, +2.75*)
Detroit Tigers -116 (Colon/Small)
Colon is a good pitcher, but most importantly, he should last longer than Small, and I like the Tigers' bullpen (the best in MLB) and bats a little more at this point of this season.
Also, the Tigers numbers against RHSP have been much better than the Yankees. They are 7-0 in home night games against RHSP, while the Yankees are only 5-8 in those games away from home. The Yankees are also only 16-17 against RHSPs this season, and they are only 13-18 at night.
I think this line is a lot lower than it should be because of the Yankee name. The fact is, their lineup just isn't that great right now - and DJ may be out, I haven't heard the latest, but I know he hurt his hand today.
