Went 2-1 in baseball yesterday and lost my hockey bet. I like a lot of games today, but narrowed it down to 3 for now. Might post more later:
Braves (-110) - Got to love the Cubs! Although Zambrano has pitched well lately for the Cubs, their offense has been horrible in May scoring only 58 runs in 23 games which works out to about 2.5 runs per game. Braves are 7-3 last 10 games and have won 13 of the last 18 at Chicago. Cubs are 1-6 last 7 games including getting swept in Florida. For May, Cubs are 5-18 and have struggled since Derek Lee got injured.
D-Rays (+103) - Scott Kazmir has been awesome this year going 7-2 with a 2.39 era this year. Lifetime against the Red Soxs, he is 4-1 with a 2.45 era. Last 3 starts, he is 3-0 with a unbelievable .41 era. Although the D-Rays are 6 games below .500, they are 8-2 this year when Kazmir starts. David Wells comes back from his injury to pitch tonight. On April 12, he was smoked by Toronto giving up 7 runs, 10 hit in 4 innings.
White Soxs (-117) - White Soxs have won 9 in a row with Farcia pitching. Last 3 starts Garcia is 3-0 with a 1.59 era and Lilly is 1-2 with a 6.59 era last 3 starts. Toronto starters last 6 games have an era of 6.59 with opponents hitting .325. Chicago has the 2nd best record in baseball going 31-15 this year.
