  • Friday Tb/boston

    wow, Wells is favored over Kazmir
    I watched Wells in his only outing get shelled vs. Toronto. I see no reason this doesn't continue. GREAT VALUE in Tampa Bay. gonna put a decent sized wager on them
    any thought?

    Daddy Wells is gonna eat his sausages and drink his six-pack before the game, and then, who knows? I also see value in the DRays...Wells is erratic and unpredictable...but, I seem to remember a perfect game pitched by this lardo!!! My money will be on the DRays tomorrow, but for a little less than you seem to be talking about! Good luck to us!

      his only game this yr, he had nothing in the tank. throwing mid 80's fastballs.. and kazmir is a stud, i know they are in boston but if he can hold boston to 4 runs i think its solid

        I agree with you, I'm just pointing out Wells' inconsistency over the years (one good game, two bad, etc...).

        Also, I don't think the RedSox get 4 off Kazmir, however, he may only go 6 or 7 innings, and then...

        I'm with you on the wager, though!!!

          I'm with you on TB tomorrow, Kazmir is a stud. I believe one of the best pitchers in the league.

              This is my play of the day as well - I would be shocked if Wells closed as the favorite.

                  For this Met fan, watching Kazmir pitch is a knife to a heart every five days. This trade may very well go down as the modern day version of the Nolan Ryan trade.

                  I believe I heard this on the BoSox telecast lasdt night, Kazmir is the only lefty to beat the BoSox 3 times in Fenway before the age of 23! In the history of the franchise!

                      kazmir owns the red sox. If i were to play this game i'd be on TB for a normal wager amount. i assumed TB would be a favorite tonight. wells sucks. kazmir is a monster, line seems fishy to me. its almost like they are beggin for TB $$$$. being a sox fan i honestly expect TB to win tonight.

                        Kazmir is indeed a good pitcher, and Wells is erratic.....however;

                        what I do look at is the difference in the Bats......Wells may give up 5-6 runs, and Boston bats may go wild and get 7-8......

                        I respect Bostons Bats and home field advantage too much to take Tampa Bay.....IMO.kapt

                        PS----If Wells and Kazmir are both on----advantage Boston....

                            Gonna have to disagree with this. When Wells is "on" nowadays, that means 6 IP, with 2 or 3 runs allowed. When Kazmir is "on", that means 9 IP, 0 or 1 runs allowed.
                            The Boston lineup is hardly better than TB's anyway. The one thing that scares me as a TB backer is the bullpen - but Kazmir is good for 7+ every time out.
