Same thing I have been saying for the last 6 weeks...Yanks are going to win the World Series. But until it happens, and as long as the Mets keep winning, and FSU beats the Canes then life is good. And the Yanks having a 7.5 game lead has nothing to do with the Mets.

I am the one always saying teams have bad streaks and bad games, as do players. So the Yankees losing 5-0 is no big deal, as everyone else on this board thinks so as no one said a word about it. I just find it funny how you RIP the Red Sox for beating the Royals 1-0 and the Yankees lose 5-0. I would think you would take a 1-0 win last night. I should ask you...WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT?

I agree. One game....one series is life or death to a lot of guys on this board. When the Red Sox whooped the Mets, everyone was declaring the Mets dead and buried and were touting the Sox as future world champions.

It did seem that way at the time, but it sure didn't turn out that way. I'm not saying the Mets are going to win the series, as they have some holes in the starting rotation, but they sure have a better chance than Boston right now.

Actually, now that I have had a day and a half to ponder your question (actually, more like 4 hours), what I have to say is the AL East is a joke! As much of a joke as the NL!
