  • I'd Like an Explaination...

I know there are alot of astute individuals out there that have their own theory about this but how in the world can Detroit play so pathetically on offense for 6 straight games now? They were unreal against Milwaukee and the first two games against Cleveland (who by the way played nothing remotely resembling defense against Washington) and now they can't do a thing. Miami didn't exactly play lock down against Chicago or NJ either. They are all standing around looking at each other. I suppose the fact that they are usually playing 4 on 5 on the offensive end (because Big Ben has made no effort at all in the playoffs to even sniff the hoop) allows the other teams to get out on their shooters without having to really defend in the post. Pimp - these are your boys. What's wrong with them?

I think that Cleveland and Miami are very familiar with Detroit and their offensive gameplan. Also, Miami knew they could coast past NJ without playing lock-down defense, and they have to bring all their intensity in this series.

My two cents, may be worth less than that, is that the playoffs are a half court game. This team has never been a good offensive team in the half court, they won with defense and unselfishness. Games are tighter now, teams run the shot clock....

        TP and TJ,

All good points. But Hamilton, Sheed and Billups have all shot the ball poorly even with open looks the past week and a half. They buried those type of shots in the 1st round and in game 1 vs. Cleveland. Maybe they're tired. Nash and Marion looked like completely different players last night with an extra day off. Maybe it's what these guys need too.

Dont be fooled my friend...........Miami is weak and cant play a sniff of defense like that Cleveland played

Cleveland hustled and ballhawked like only a disciple of Popovich can do

With that said Detroit will dispose of these idiots from the south in exactly 6 games and the games that we will win are exactly 2, 3 or 5, 5 and 6

Detroit 4-2...........a few of these games will remind the league why the Pistons are the best team

            PEACE
