Cubs/Sox Brawl

Ok...so I've seen it a bunch of times now.

Here's my take.

1) Clean play at the plate. Nothing dirty.

2) I Didn't like AJ slapping the plate. I think that's what triggered everything with Barrett. That's showing up the other team.

3) The white sox dug out is on the 3rd base side, so why would AJ go toward Barrett unless he was trying to incite him?

4) Barrett was VERY quick to cold cock him

5) Both Barrett and Brian Anderson should be suspended the most. Mabry and AJ I dont' think need to be. Anderson was out of control going after Mabry.


I'm intrigured to see what happens now with the fallout and aftermath.

I can only hope it just triggers some emotion with the Cubs and starts a run. I guess we'll see how much heart they have right now.

How come in hockey a player sometimes gets only a 5 minute major for starting a fight, whereas in baseball or in other sports it can be 50 games or even longer?

rook if you watch the replay his helmet flew that way off his head and he was going to pick it up,i just think barrett really over reacted and with the cubs playing as terrible as they are right now im sure it hurt more than the hit did.
