I really feel that we deserved to win yesterday's play, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Hell, the Dodgers scored all three runs without hitting one ball hard. Anyway on to Thursday:
Baseball Play of the Day (23-20, +6.48*)
Cincinnati Reds -115 (Williams/Santos)
From a previous post, in which I recommended going against the Pirates:
Pittsburgh is atrocious against LHP. In games against LHSP, they are only 1-12, averaging 3.5 runs per game. They are -160 against a LHSP.
In that one, they lived up to their previous performance, scoring 3 runs and losing. Now they're 1-13 against LHSPs, and I'm going against them again.
It also doesn't hurt that Santos isn't good enough to shut this lineup down, and the Reds are too good to get swept by a team as bad as the Pirates.

- Kerry Wood is -176 in his first start? On a short pitch count? With an impotent team behind him?
- I know Chuck unloaded on this play, and I can see why. All reason points to the Tigers destroying the Twins tomorrow. Rogers has been very good, the Twins can't hit LHP. Radke has been very bad, the Tigers hit RHP hard. The games in Detroit between these teams have been 42-5 this season.
- I think the Angels are going to beat the Blue Jays tomorrow - call it a hunch. A lot of things point to the Jays here, but sometimes you get that feeling about a game, and this is one of those.
- In the national TV game (CWS/TB), I like under. The RH/LH starting pitcher differentials in this game strongly favor the under.
