Lebron played whole 48 minutes in Game 3 win, and Murray was on floor for 45:28 subbing for Hughes (death in family) for Cavs' 86-77 Game 3 win, as Cleveland outscored Detroit 50-35 to erase 42-36 halftime deficit. Thing is, games are only two days apart; will fatigue play role here? Detroit's scoring in series has gone from 113-97-77; they shot only 39.4% in Game 3. Pivotal game; brand-new series if Cleveland can win here.

Dallas had point of emphasis in Game 3; they made 39 of their 50 foul shots, and made just 1-5 treys, so they pounded ball inside to extent that Nowitzki was 21-24 from line, all by himself; other Dallas players were 18-26, Spurs were 22-32. Only one game in series was decided by more than two points, but who on Spurs can step up and make a big basket, other than Duncan?

      Six-Pack for Monday
-- Sharks, Oilers exploded for four goals in 3:51 span of third period in pivotal Game 5 matchup won by Edmonton, giving them 3-2 series edge, with series headed back to Alberta. NHL's best playoff games have been played after midnight in the east. Too bad.
-- Sam Cassell scored 28 points, with 11 rebounds and nine assists as Clippers evened their series 2-2. Starting guards for Clippers were 8-24 from floor in Game 3 loss.
-- Brian Giles walked all five times he came to plate Sunday, scored two runs as red-hot Padres won again, 9-0 at Cubs.
-- Padre pitcher Hensley struck out all five times he came to plate, but anytime starting pitcher bats five times, he's had a good day. Hensley threw 91-pitch complete game shutout.
-- This just in: the Cubs are playing horribly.
-- Mark Buehrle allowed seven runs in first inning Sunday night, still won game, making him first pitcher to do that in big leagues since September 29, 1900 (Jack Powell, StL).

Monday's List of 13: Nobody asked me, but...............
        13) Made quick trip down and back to Long Island for family birthday Sunday; nothing snaps you back to reality like drive on a Sunday to the Big Apple.

        12) First of all, the place is just insanely crowded; driving on the Grand Central Parkway Sunday night was like night race at Bristol, only there are no rules officials around to penalize the unsafe drivers, of which there were many.

        11) I forgot how much fun listening to radio can be, but some music can be soothing while dodging vehicles on all sides.

        10) Nothing says Mother's Day like an afternoon at Belmont Park, which is where KL Wheat and I watched some races on Sunday. Belmont is a huge facility; there were very few fans in attendance, making the place look like large mausoleum.

        9) Most of the smallish crowd seemed to be younger people, more than I can remember seeing at a downstate track. Guess gambling has made a comeback with the younger set.

        8) So Knicks' players want Larry Brown out and Isiah in as coach of the Knicks? Brown is making a fortune getting paid not to do things. If Sacramento even thinks about hiring this unusual little man as their coach, my Kings' hat goes in the closet until they come to their senses.

        7) Why anyone connected with sports franchise would want Isiah to do anything with smallest bit of reponsibility, other than playing, completely baffles me. He hasn't shown that he is competent as an executive and he was barely competent as a head coach of the Pacers. The Knicks deserve him, I guess.

        8) Ray Floyd shot his age Sunday in final round of a Senior Tour event in Florida, but 63 wasn't enough to catch Bobby Wadkins, who won his second Senior Tour event, and first in five years, after never winning a PGA Tour event (5 seconds)

        7) Nets start two players who simply can't shoot; Kidd made only 5 of 16 in Game 4, and Collins rarely shoots. Little easier to defend a team if they only have three shooting threats.

        6) It has rained since Friday in Boston; Rangers-Red Sox got five innings in Friday, but got rained out last two days, which will screw up the schedule but good at some point later this season, especially if one or both teams are contenders late in September and games haven't been made up yet.

        5) Phillies are 13-1 in their last fourteen games? Centerfielder Aaron Rowand must be good luck charm, after coming over from the White Sox, last year's World Champs.

        4) How about Buffalo eliminating Ottawa with a shorthanded goal in overtime? Sabres won series 4-1, but three of the four wins came in extra time.

        3) Stan Kroenke owns Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and 40% of the St Louis Rams. In last six months, Rams fired their coach, and both Denver teams canned their GM. Stan's dog better be on the lookout for the Humane Society truck.

        2) Looking ahead to the week in front of us, interleague play starts Friday night, PGA Tour is at Colonial, NHL, NBA keep playoffs moving along, and the Arena Football playoffs start.

        1) Guys who drive tow trucks in NY/NJ area must be wealthy beyond their wildest dreams. There are accidents every single day; how can they not be? Don't send your kids to college to be doctors or lawyers, either get them a tow truck, or buy 'em a beer distributorship. That's where the big money is.
