A great start by Armas and an offensive breakout helped make Washington an easy winner yesterday.
Baseball Play of the Day (22-18, +7.42*)
San Diego Padres +140 (Park/Webb)
I've got nothing bad to say about Brandon Webb. His ERA is 2.32, and the Diamondbacks have won 6 of his 8 starts this season.
Still, Chan Ho Park has been pitching well also. His last two starts were 3-0 and 1-0 shutout victories. The Diamondbacks aren't likely to score much against him either, as they are averaging only 4.3 runs per game against RHSP (as opposed to 6.1 vs. LHSP).
I'm of the belief that a hot team is always worth a look if they are a dog. The Padres are playing as well as anyone right now, having won 14 out of 15), and they have been money on the road. They are currently 12-4 away from home, and they are averaging over 6 runs per game. The Padres are also 13-8 as a dog this season. The Diamondbacks, on the other hand, are only 10-7 at home, and 8-9 as a favorite.
