Went 1-1 yesterday for a very small profit of .05 units thanks to Piazza's 3 run homer in the 9th. Here are my bets for today:
Tigers (+102) - Maroth is 7-3 with a 2.96 era lifetime vs Cleveland. At Cleveland lifetime, Maroth is 5-0 with a 2.63 era. Johnson is 0-2 with a 9.95 era last 4 starts for Cleveland. Tigers are 15-7 on the road this year. Cleveland has lost their last 5 games and Detroit has won 3 in a row.
D-Rays (-103) - Josh Towers has been horrible this year going 0-7 with a 10.09 era this year. With injuries to Burnett & Chacin, Blue Jays have no choice but to sent to Towers again. D-Rays Fossum has pitched well lately going 1-0 with a 2.45 era last 3 starts. This play is more of a fade on Towers.
Padres (-122) 2 unit play - 2 teams going opposite directions with the Padres winning 13 of their last 14 games and Cubs losing 12 of their last 13 games. Rich Hill is 0-2 with a 9.00 era in his 2 starts this year. Hensley is 0-1 with a 3.50 era last 3 starts.
Rockies (+134) - Rockies tied with the Padres in the NL West. Jeff Francis is 2-0 with a 1.01 era last 4 starts. Pettitte is 1-1 with a 8.10 era last 3 starts. Rockies are 12-8 on the road this year. Astros have lost 7 of their last 9 games. Good value getting Rockies as a nice dog with Francis going today.
