three starts, all Cincinnati wins, since a loss to Atlanta on
May 22. On Tuesday, he did not factor in the Reds' 2-1,
10-inning triumph vs. the Chicago Cubs after yielding one run
and six hits in seven innings.

While Dempster has been erratic at times, he pitched extremely well in his two most recent outings. In his last 14 1-3 innings, the 26-year-old right-hander has allowed just one earned run.

He did not get a decision on Tuesday despite giving up one run and six hits over seven innings in the Reds' 2-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

Arizona is riding a four-game winning streak -- its longest of the year -- and is over .500 for the first time all season.

The Diamondbacks, who have won 13 straight games over the Reds dating back to May 2001, pulled out a 5-3 win Saturday night thanks to a Chad Moeller two-run homer in the seventh.
