Does Bobby Cox let a fan manage the 7th inning? Two consecutive 1-run losses that would have been easy wins if not for allowing 4-run 7th innings - and the result of leaving starters in too long, then making weird choices with his relievers. But, I guess he's proven himself pretty well the last 15 years.

People seem to believe Lenny Dinardo sucks - and he hasn't been great - but I can't ignore this LHSP/RHSP descrepency - it's one of the biggest imaginable, 5.2. By that, I mean the O's are averaging 2.6 fewer rpg against LHSPs than RHSPs, and the Red Sox are averaging 2.6 more rpg against RHSPs than LHSPs.
I actually have watched Dinardo this year, and think he is better than his first couple starts have indicated (the same is true of the Cubs' Guzman). Benson not impressive.
The reason I posted the thread this way - actually it was pure superstition with the intent of stopping the tough losses - but also, I wanted to post a hockey play.

This is no indication of my feelings of who will win this series, I believe that will be the Ducks, but this isn't a good spot for them. They played very well in Game 1, a 5-0 victory, but they are due for a letdown here. The Avs beat the Stars in 5 games, and the rust showed in Game 1. The team with more time off actually has lost each second round opening game, but I believe they will bounce back in Game 2. The Avs should have more energy here, and Bryzgalov will come back to earth a bit.
