Frustrating loss Tuesday, as the Marlins had their game won, and I was looking to cash a nice dog. Instead, I am barely in the black for the year, as they blew it late.

With all due respect to Greg Maddux, I think people are overreacting to his start this season. He is in good shape, but not good enough to be a road favorite in this game with an anemic offense behind him.
Maddux's career numbers against the Diamondbacks - 1-8 record, a WHIP of nearly 1.5, and an ERA of 4.97.
Perhaps the simple answer is that the Diamondbacks have potent lefties throughout their lineup, I don't know. Maddux has to feel pressure on three accounts: AZ's dominance of him, the fact that he is now the ace of the staff, and the knowledge that giving up even a couple runs could be too much with no offensive support.
