    5* Boston/Cleveland Over 9

In the series finale, the Red Sox will be strong favorite. New toy Josh Beckett has sparkled with a 3-0 start and 2.54 ERA. The former Florida Marlin has pitched at least 7 innings in each of his starts and tired late against the Blue Jays in surrendering five runs.

Cleveland starter Paul Byrd typifies the problems for the Tribe. Byrd is hanging on to a career at 35-years old and is sporting an ugly 9.15 ERA wearing the Indians uniform. His plight along with his team-mates is shown in his four starts. When the ‘Byrd-man’ has been the starting pitcher this season, the Indian’s sticks have been pounding the horse-hide, scoring 35 runs. In those same four games the opponents have averaged 7.5 runs per game.

Hahah, there's the Spear we cherish.
I like it. I figure Beckett gives up about 3 or 4. Byrd can give up the rest
