Nice easy winner yesterday. There's nothing better than knowing a line is 20 cents off, and knowing exactly why it is that way. Thursday's play on a small card:
Rockies +157 (Cook/Lieber)
The Rockies have been money away from home this year (6-3, averaging a little better than 7 rpg). They send arguably their best to the mound Thursday in Cook, who has fallen on some hard luck this season despite pitching well. The Rockies have only scored 12 runs in his four starts (1-3), but they average better than 5.5 rpg on the year.
Cook faced the Phillies once before, and took a really tough loss, in only the 2nd 1-0 game in Coors Field history. The Phillies struggled with him, while the Rockies had no such problems in Lieber's start at Coors, a 10-6 Colorado win. The Phillies are only 5-9 at home this year (a little over 4 rpg), and this price is simply too high to pass up.
