Hey everyone, I seem to always skip a week here from posting because I get so tied up with my job that I dont get a chance to post on here as much as I'd like. Hopefully I can get on some sort of streak with posting! let's win some money tonight boys/girls.
MLB
Florida Marlins -105 over Chi Cubs
(Florida should have won yesterday with the lead that they pulled and held through 7 innings. Thats not the first time they've blown leads. I do however know Dontrelle Willis is one of the more dominant pitchers in the MLB and to have it only be -105 that seems like a steal. Marlins should put off a road win tonight with Willis.)
Houston Astros +110 over LA Dodgers
(Last time Nieve pitched for the Stros' he looked pretty decent. I am not a huge believer in Brad Penny. I think he is OK. The Astros are HOT and they should have won last night as well but blew an awesome outing by Andy Pettitte, and the final score did not reflect the excellent outing of Pettitte. Go with the Blazing Stros' tonight in front of the home faithful.)
PARLAY: OAKLAND +100 & TOTAL UNDER 10 -120
(2.67 to 1 odds)
(Last time Zito pitched against Texas they lit him up, last time Padilla pitched against Oakland, they lit him up. This will hopefully not be a repeat of that and I expect the game to be under 10 tonight. Seems very high for two decent pitchers tonight.)
PARLAY: KANSAS CITY +112 & SAN DIEGO -210
(2.13 to 1 odds)
(Is Elarton going to be last years Mike Maroth and not win a damn game. I dont think so, he is a much better pitcher than his ERA and Win/Loss percentage looks this year. Kyle Lohse has looked absolutely horrendous in two of his 3 starts this year giving up 18 total runs in 14 total innings pitched. That makes for an 11.57 ERA. Kansas City has SUCKED as of late but should be able to put a home win on the board tonight behind Elarton.)
NHL
Calgary/Anaheim OVER 5 +105
(In the season series with these down teams the average goals combined with all the games equaled about 5.5. I like the over in this game with just a minimal amount of goals scored in Game 1 and 2. It seems as though this NHL playoffs is a shootfest as most the games last night went OVER.
Nashville/San Jose UNDER 5.5 +115
(I expect this game to go under 5.5 because both teams play a great defensive game and have solid goaltenders. None of the season games have truly been that much over 5.5 and most have been 3 and 4 total points.
Other Parlays: Multi Leagues.
1.) PARLAY: MLB ATL -125 & NBA NJ NETS -360
(Odds: 1.3 to 1)
2.) PARLAY: MLB TOR -136 & NBA NJ NETS -360
(Odds: 1.22 to 1)
(My feeling above the two above parlays was that I was going to take both the MLB games as solo bets but decided against that because I feel really confident that at home the Nets wont lost 2 in a row in the playoffs. So when I feel hunches like this, I'll put the baseball team I wanted to bet in with a confident hopefully NBA winner to bump up the reward. Try it out!)
