          'IF' Wagers Described
'IF' wagers allow the player to make a second wager pending a win on the first selection. 'IF' wagers must be made on one call, and the second part of the 'IF' wager cannot exceed the amount of the first selection.
An Action-Reverse wager is a pair of IF Action wagers. The pairs are made by taking the original IF Action wager and placing another IF Action wager in reverse order.

Following is a breakdown of a 2 play Action-Reverse wager.

          Part A Part B
          Cowboys -5 $110 to win $100 Dolphins -14 $110 to win $100
IF (win, tie or cancel) IF (win, tie, or cancel)
          Dolphins -14 $110 to win $100 Cowboys -5 $110 to win $100
          If both teams win +400
          One win, one loss -120
          Both teams lose -220
          Push +200
          GOOD LUCK ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

                            Reverse Bets

Reverse bets are simply "if bets" that work in both directions. Reverse bets can be single action (win only) or double action (win or tie). The remaining bets in the sequence will be placed if the preceding bet is a win (single action) or win, push, or cancel (double action). An if bet follows the sequence "if team A wins, ties, or cancels then action on Team B". A Reverse bet will include that sequence and then always follow with it's opposite, "if team B wins, ties, or cancels then team A". Reverse bets always contain 2 sequences and the player must lay an equal amount on each one. The advantage to playing a reverse bet is that the player can limit his exposure to losses while expanding the possible combinations that will produce winning wagers.
The following examples show the three possibilities of the reverse: win/win, win/lose, and lose/lose.

Example 1: win/ win (Team A is a winner (covers) and Team B is a winner)
                            Team A 55/50 Team B 55/50
                            Team B 55/50 Team A 55/50

In the previous 'win/win' situation the total winnings are $200

                            Example 2: Win/lose (Team A is a winner, but Team B is a loser)
                            Team A 55/50 Team B 55/50
                            Team B 55/50 Team A 55/50

In this example Team A wins- so the player wins $50, and because it is an if bet, there is action on Team B. Team B loses so there is a loss, at that juncture, of $55, making the total loss on that side of the reverse $5. Because it is a reverse, the opposite side is always played. We said that team B was a loser, so the loss on the first entry of that side is $55. Because it is an if bet, there is no action on the second leg of that side resulting in a loss of $0 for team A of the second side in the reverse. Total losses on this reverse: $60.

                            Example 3: Lose/lose (Team A is a loser and Team B is a loser)
                            Team A 55/50 Team B 55/50
                            Team B 55/50 Team A 55/50

In this example team A loses resulting in a loss of $55. Because Team A loses, there is no action on Team B, resulting in a loss of $0. Because this is a reverse, the bet always plays out on the other side. Team B is a loser, resulting in a loss of $55. Because team B loses, there is no action on team A. The total losses on this reverse: $110

if ur book offers reverse..its another form of a parlay ...than u should be playing these and not parlays
to break it down alittle better heres an example

                            a 300 parlay pays 800.....
                            a 300 reverse pays 1200...
but if u lose both parts u lose 600..but its rare anyone loses both teams in a parlay..if u go 1-1 u only lose 300..

some books including Vip which is one of the biggest books out there dont offer reverses because books can get killed ..some of my other books offer this and thats all i play instead of a parlay...parlays sux ,,,,reverses are the way to go..hope this helps
