  • TP's Baseball POD 4/20 (10-7, +4.07 units)

Alright, Bedard and the O's get me another victory. Tomorrow I'm going back to the dogs.

    Twins +107 (Santana/Buerhle) - available at 5Dimes
What can you say about Johan Santana's past performances against the White Sox except that he owns them. The Twins have won seven consecutive games he started against the Chisox, including three in Chicago. In those games, the White Sox have scored 3, 2, 2, 1, 0, 0, and 1 runs.
The White Sox haven't been so fortunate when Buerhle starts against the Twins. They have only won 2 of the last 7 meetings when Buerhle started. The Twins offense - long their weakest link - scored 5 rpg in those 7 games. That should be plenty for a win Friday.

Let me add one thing - it's not an official play, but consider it a strong recommendation. The whole board, and most of the world is on the Braves tonight.
I don't see it. The Braves are my favorite team, but I don't see why they are favored here. Giles, Renteria, and Chipper are out, and facing one of the best pitchers in the league. I know that Smoltz beat the Nats 5 times last year, but he hasn't been that impressive this year, and two runs could easily beat the Braves here. Patterson was all but unhittable his last start, and is one of the most undervalued pitchers in the league. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Braves get shutout.

Good luck this evening, TP. I agree that Patterson is one who kinda flies under the radar.
