THURSDAY'S FREE PICK: SAN DIEGO STATE at
HAWAII (Saturday CFB).
Diego State comes in off a bye week and an impressive
38-34 upset of Air Force, in its last game. Hawaii played last
Saturday night at home vs Alabama. After falling behind the
Tide 14-0 at the half and trailing 21-3 in the 4th quarter,
QB Timmy Chang, tossed TD passes of 70 and 26 yards in
the final 10 minutes, giving the Rainbows the cover, in a 21-
16 loss. Hawaii is 9-3 on the year, but has long-ago (back
on 11/2 after its 7th win of the season!), qualified to play in
The Hawaii Bowl, on Christmas Day. San Diego State owns
the best duo of wide receivers in the nation, in JR Tolver and
Kassim Osgood. No reason to think that the Aztecs can't
trade points with the Rainbows in this one, as San Diego
State is a PERFECT 3-0 ATS in 2002, as double-digit road
underdogs! Take the points with San Diego St!
