Anyone out there that has gotten off to a good start, let me know........

Those that have also gotten off to a bad start, join in here, and tell me why you figure we're missing these games...........

hey kapt its been a while since i talked to ya...winter season is a very busy time for me as my daughter is a competitive cheerleader and we travel up and down the east coast almost every weekend.....every year for the last 10-13, i always made money in foots and hoops only to give it all back plus some,,,in bases....i made up my mind what i was gonna do this year...i play every dog, every night, for the exact same amount of money, and i plan on playing them the same all year long...wether you bet 30 a game or 2 grand a game if you play every game the same you can always loose more games then you win and still come out ahead on the +++ side...it took the handicapping right out of the equation...if people think long and hard about this and stick to it it will work...best of luck to ya and everyone here at bc....
PLAY EVERY DOG EVERY NIGHT FOR THE EXACT SAME AMOUNT IN BASES....YOUR UNITS WILL GROW...[/B]

Newbie to the site but I can tell ya it's been weird the last week for me, bet 1 game early and win, press 1 game at night and lose...7 straight times! I'm just trying to hang tough until football season rolls in...

Well, I'm 13-13 (-90) so I'm ok for now but, your right...this season is starting out kind of fucked up...

I only play 2 or 3 games a day at $300 each…(no more, no less)… As the season progresses and provided I’m up…I’ll increase my bets to $500 per game but, still only take 2 or 3 games a day….and still all for the same amount.

Now, here’s a crazy thing I’ve been doing lately and it’s working for now anyway… I’ll take my final top 5 or 6 plays for the day (including O/U) Throw out my top play and bottom play and bet what’s left……My Kruise POD is my #3 play on the day and I’m 7-4 there.

I’ve been at this bout 40 years and for me 2, 3, or 4 plays a day and all for the same amount works….
        (for me anyway).

I know you know what your doing and I would recommend not changing the way you cap. You just gotta hang tough until these games fall into the way you cap (and they will) but until then you have to be on the defence and protect your investment…

Good Luck to you Kapt and hang in there…you’ll be fine

Boiseboy, I was thinking hard of doing the exact same thing. I heard Rip once mention he knew a guy that used that system and did very well. I'm new to MLB wagering and haven't heard anyone on this site doing it. Also, everyone that seems to have decent success prefers to take mostly dogs anyway. Why NOT take 'em all?

i am actually up a few dollars and when i say that i mean i up about $300 total....I am 3 games over 500....I play for all the same so far $125 per game.....I have not laid any large juice and have not followed the crowd when everybody is on the same side...i.e When everyone was on Zach Duke the other day i laid off...There have been a few instances that have really made me scratch my head....like yesterday oswalt was an underdog....laid off it......Have really proceeded with caution this year and have followed some of spearits totals....

But heck yes...wierd year so far...Baseball is a grind for sure

I agree - I think it has been strange but one thing to watch is the totals - a lot of games are going over the total. Like everyone else proceed with caution. and good luck!

I track this and give or take a few lines that might have been slightly different, here's what I got after all games yesterday.

Favorites have won 78 games or 56.9%
Under dogs have won 59 games or 43.1%

                      There have been 77 overs
                      and
                      There have been 52 unders
                      and
                      There have been 8 pushes

Home underdogs are 19-22 (-0.93 units)

                      Hope that helps

And Kapt...I started out a little slow as well, but have done a lot better this week then last week. Still getting killed on all the overs, but that will settle down soon enough.

i basically hit the fantasy sites all through the spring camps, see what pitchers are doing well, and who's doing not so well, and who is projected to do well, then i look at last years end results as far as w/l and era goes, then i look at what those pitchers teams and the moves they made during the winter to try to get a feel for which teams are trying to beef up offense/defense...then i get a stable of around 20 pitchers who i like looking at all that info, even get a few sleepers. then no matter what the spread ride those pitchers every game they pitch for about the first month or so unless they are pitching against someone else in may 'stable' so to speak(and so fatr every time that has happened, the dawg is like 1-5) i keep it small for this early part of the season, 1 unit per bet. then after thst timre i will re evaluate my 'stable' and see who wins and who loses, and ats as a fav or ud, and maybe trim down to 10-15 if need be, or keep my original group, or maybe even pick up some new guys who are hot, then increase to about 5 units or so once i am sure of who will do what. seemed to work well slast year and the year before, although it was only on paper...this is the first season i really putting money up, but i am at 50% and up almost 5 units if you take away my dummyheaded parlays..lol...trick is to bet consistant and stay disciplined, and no parlays..lol...on paper, the past 2 seasons i was up about an avg of 83 units.
a wise man once said 'no bet combination is a sure thing, teasers are called teasers for a reason' to which i responded

mark mulder, & eddy curry, cliff floyd and a few other not so big names went to my high school!!!!

                        ncaa football 7-8 (46.7%) +10.91 units
                        nfl football 7-6 (53.8%) -1.76 units

Hey Rook thanks for the info. Would it be possible for you to start your own thread with your findings? I think it would be helpful to a lot of people. If not, no worries. Thanks.

                              I'd be happy to.

I'll try to do it daily.
