Tuesday's List of 13: 13 ideas that will never happen…….
                            13) NBA 1-on-1 tournament; 32 players, one from each team, then Internet voting for fans, to fill out the tournament to 32 guys. This would raise ton of money for charity.

                            12) Baseball realigned geographically; would save fortune on travel, schedule would be much easier to draw up, and season-long rivalries (Mets-Bronx, Angels-Dodgers, A's-Giants, Cubs-Sox, Nationals-Orioles) would be lot more fun.

                            11) In NFL, take radios out of football helmets, let QBs call their own plays.

                            10) NBA allows any type of defense to be played, so that we could see actual basketball. Move the 3-point line in to the international distance, which open up the lane more, because you'd have to guard the arc.

                            9) Pro golf tournament played on a very difficult par-3 course. Take the driver out of their bags for a week.

                            8) Would like to see one of the minor leagues try a season where it was three balls for a walk, two strikes for a strikeout.

                            7) NBA season shortened to 64 games, playoff series to best-of-3.

                            6) An 8-team playoff in college football. It baffles me why this hasn't happened, other than the good ol' boys who run the bowl system have such a stranglehold on pursestrings that no one else can get hold of them.

                            5) Another pro golf tournament, this one where golfers could have only five clubs in their bag.

                            4) NBA teams draft prospects out of high school, then pay for tuition to colleges; at the beginning of every school year, team decides if they want to call up that player. If not, they pay for the kid's scholarship to whatever college the kid chose to go to. NBA teams retain the players' rights for five years after drafting them.

                            3) NFL reduce their preseason to two games.

                            2) Salary cap in the major leagues. True competitive balance.

                            1) Celebrity Poker Texas Hold 'Em tournament, with proceeds going to charity, with these nine contestants:
