Easy winner yesterday with the O's. Today I was torn between two games. I really like the value with the Blue Jays +180, especially with Crisp out, but I decided to go with this one instead after reading Wayne's post.
Cincinnati Reds +130 (Arroyo/Rusch)
This line is available at VIPsports, but a line of +125 or so is still solid value with Arroyo here. Ironically, I never thought Arroyo was a very good pitcher in Boston, but he seems to be really pitching well in Cincinnati. He just beat the Cubs last week, giving up three earned runs on only six hits in 6 2/3 innings. Most importantly, he was getting ahead of hitters all day (faced 26 batters, 21 first-pitch strikes), and making the Cubs work to get on base.
Meanwhile, the Cubs are off a sweep over their rival, the Cardinals, and they send an inconsistent Glendon Rusch to the mound. The Reds lit him up in the first meeting, and I wouldn't be surprised if they duplicated that tomorrow.
