Monday's List of 13: Nobody asked me, but................
                  13) Good gauge of a baseball team's fan support is crowd at second home game; everyone gets big crowd Opening Day.

                  12) One baseball stat I'd like to see: percent of time a team scores when they have runner on second, no one out.

                  11) When the Brewers started the season 5-0, and trailed in all five games, they became the first team to post five comeback wins to start a season since the 1901 Detroit Tigers.

                  10) Kelly Stinnett is the seventh catcher to play for both the Mets and the Bronx Bombers. Other than Yogi Berra, you'd have a very hard time naming any of the other five. Slipped by me, for example, than Rick Cerone played for the Mets.

                  9) 409 major league players earn at least $1M a year; figure in 25 men on 30 teams, and 54.5% of guys on 25-man rosters are freakin' millionaires, and all on guaranteed contracts.

                  8) Score after the first inning Saturday night: Colorado 7, San Diego 4. Rockies scored 32 runs in sweeping 3-game series, and it wasn't even at Coors Field.

                  7) Padre-Giant rainout Tuesday was first rainout at Petco and Padres' first at home since 1998.

                  6) Was in sports store in **** last week; they had t-shirts for 86 major leaguers up on wall (yes, I counted them); of the 86, none play for the A's. I know I'm in New York, but there were two Pirates and Kahlil Greene shirts on the wall. You'd think Chavez, Street, Harden or Crosby would merit star status.

                  5) College hoop jobs at NC State, Oklahoma, Temple are still open, as is Manhattan. Of the four, Manhattan has the best returning nucleus, relative to league they're in. The other jobs are all very tough acts to follow.

                  4) It helps to know people: One of three new assistants hired by new Duquesne coach Ron Everhart is one Richard Pitino, oldest son of the Louisville coach.

                  3) Phil Mickelson's win at Augusta makes him first guy since Sandy Lyle in '88 to win Masters, after winning tournament the previous week. Lyle won at Greensboro, Lefty in Atlanta.

                  2) David Duval won British Open five years ago; he is ranked 437th in the world right now.

                  1) Rocco Mediate butchered his final hole of the third round Sunday morning, or else he, not Fred Couples would've been in final pairing Sunday. Couples-Mickelson pairing had to be a big help towards Lefty winning his second green jacket, as the two are good friends and talked through much of round.
