I know its easy to say after the game is over, but to me this Knick game was a classic trap.
They had just won three in a row and are now playing Indiana, a team which they have defeated the last two times and only lose by 6 in the first meeting and now getting 11-12 points. Wow! (just kidding).
This is the kind of game traditionally where many folks "arrive at the party" too late, and use too much logic.
By my way of thinking, the team used a lot of energy in defeating the teams which they were not expected to defeat and thus had nothing left in the tank for the team against whom they play well.
I have seen this scenario unfold too many times to recount over the years in all sports, and it is one of the many reasons bookmakers are rich.
